I was doing a handheld composite shot, composing 9 images into one. While capturing the moon in various positions, on my 6th shot, a plane flew right in front of the moon. I quickly pressed the shutter and captured 3 more to process. It was there, on my screen — I got it.

I’ve been holding onto this series of photos, capturing a magical moment with a curious young black bear.

I spotted it emerging the forest, wondered around the beach before stepping back into the woods.

I ended up with enough time to snap a few shots and fully enjoy the encounter.
