“Man our ship and bring her to life!” We were lucky to experience the commissioning of a new United States Navy destroyer, USS Harvey C. Barnum Jr.

Named for a Medal of Honor recipient, the warship entered active service in Virginia Beach on April 11, 2026.

We were honoured to be there alongside Vice Admiral (ret.) Bill Galinis of the US Navy — and recent addition to the BRNKL advisory board — to witness the ceremony in person.
