The textures, the movement, the light, and the feeling a space creates before a single word is spoken.

Nature has always been one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to photography and visual storytelling.

It reminds me to slow down, pay attention to the details, and capture images that make people feel something.

One thing I’ve learned recently is that I don’t just love taking photos… I love helping businesses tell their story.

What started as capturing authentic images quickly turned into something bigger. I found myself helping create content ideas, building social media posts, designing documents and finding ways to use those images to build trust and connection with their audience.

And honestly… I loved every part of it.

It made me realize that Island Views & Vibes has always been about more than photography. I’ve always believed businesses grow when people can see who they truly are behind the scenes. The people, the passion, the small moments and the stories that make a business unique.

So this is something I’m excited to start exploring more.

A few favourite moments from our recent trip to Orlando.

Travel always reminds me to slow down and pay attention to the little details, the moments, the light, and the stories happening all around us.

I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to explore new places and spend quality time with family while creating memories together.

Now that I’m home, I’m excited to get back behind the camera and work with some amazing businesses and organizations.

Whether it’s documenting your team, capturing an event, or creating imagery that helps tell the story behind your business, my goal is always the same: creating authentic photographs that connect people to what you do.

In creating this series, I spent time across lower Vancouver Island searching for landscapes that felt intentional.

Places that could hold space for remembrance.

This work was created to honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

I’m grateful to have been invited to create a series for an upcoming event in May.

These aren’t the images chosen for the exhibit… but they’re part of the journey.

I’ll be sharing the selected pieces soon. ❤️

There was something about this space that really stayed with me.

Programs like this create opportunities for kids to connect in ways that feel safe, calm, and grounding, especially for those who experience the world a little differently.

When I was capturing these moments, I found myself drawn to perspectives that felt more approachable. Softer angles, closer details, and views that might reflect how a child experiences this space.

Making something as big as a horse feel a little more familiar, a little more welcoming.

These are the kinds of environments that remind me how powerful thoughtful spaces and the stories within them can be.
