So I always sit in the same spot, just inside the run in gate. This gives me a good view of each barrel. It also means that as the horses are running back from the third barrel, they are running straight at me. Some of them are relaxed and slow, others are fast but smooth and then there are some that are running home as if a fire breathing dragon is hot on their heels!!! These speedsters almost always turn in plenty of time before they get too close to me. Almost. This day, there were a couple close calls that got my heart going. What a rush! 😂

RLAM #3! What a great evening it was! Even more riders than last week showed up making 44 pairs competing! It was awesome to see so many young riders grinning, laughing and turning barrels. It was also very cool to see bleachers full of people who came to watch and support all the competitors! I even had the chance to ride a toonie run on one of the mares in our training program. It was a blast!

RLAM Round 2 is in the books!! With 37 pairs competing there was a fantastic variety of age and skill. Well done to all the competitors!! I have more shots of everyone so if you'd like to see additional photos to purchase, send me a message!

The first Ride Like a Mother event was last Thursday and what a great start to the season it was! Lots of speed and A LOT of dust!!😅 Took me longer than I wanted but I finally got the sneak peeks edited so here they are!

Working on the photos from the team penning show from last Saturday. I took over 3500 😳😳 355 made the cut, now to edit them. Gonna take a couple... Or a few couples of days 😂

I had the opportunity to go a team penning clinic on the weekend. Got some really nice shots of the riders working on their techniques. I am really looking forward to going to their show this Saturday. It will be another fun afternoon at Rocky Ridge Ranch!!
