Taking Flight
The Lake Louise World Cup Downhill and Super G is one of my favourite sports events to shoot every year! I love capturing these amazing athletes at high speed and always enjoy the comradery of all the great sports photographers on the mountain and back at the media centre. This year I’m armed with my Nikon Z9 and 800mm which is a killer combo for this event. Here is one of my favs from yesterday up on the course where we had some amazing blue sky and great lighting. I used my 1.4x tele to get really close to the action at 1120mm. Anyone notice the BOGNER on the suit of this German Skiier? Today we had some big snow and the race was cancelled, but looking forward to better weather again tomorrow and shooting some more!

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 58TH WELLAND ROSE FESTIVAL QUEEN, FOR 2019, GEORGIA MAJOR, crowned at the Coronation Ball, June 6th. A tribute goes out to Norma Jean Lostracco, Coronation Ball Chair, and ALL the Contestants, Volunteers, Committee and SPONSORS that made this event memorable for all. We know that Georgia will be a great representative for the City of Welland.
