Some families just make my job way too easy. 🥹

I absolutely adore getting to photograph this crew year after year, and somehow every session with them ends up being a favourite. Mom always absolutely nails the outfits, the kids bring all their personalities, and this time Mother Nature decided to contribute a little something too.

We had rain, umbrellas, bare feet in the sand, plenty of laughs, and then, because Saskatchewan weather likes to keep us guessing, the most beautiful golden light showed up before we were finished.

I think the rain made this session even better. There is something about embracing whatever the evening gives us that creates the best memories and some of my favourite photographs.

And lucky me, I already get to see these five again at Christmas. ❤️

I’m so super grateful for every couple, family, graduate, and beautiful moment I’ve been trusted to capture over the years.

From meeting on the same slow pitch team, to a couple years of long distance, to a snowy proposal in Banff, Makena & Nolan have already packed a whole lot of story into the road that brought them here.

So it only seemed fitting to sneak into a softball dugout for a few photos before spending the rest of their engagement session wandering around Nickle Lake and soaking up one seriously beautiful sunset.

These two are wonderfully easy together, relaxed, playful, and very obviously happiest side by side. Congratulations Makena & Nolan! I can't wait to photograph your wedding next summer!

Cassie & Nathan’s wedding day has officially hit the blog!

From mimosas and one very opinionated little flower girl to celebrating alongside their two sweet kiddos and saying “I do” beneath the evergreens at Signal Hill Arts Centre, this day was filled with so much laughter and fun from beginning to end.

After making it official, we spent some time around Signal Hill with their family and wedding party before heading to Makenna Hall for dinner, speeches, and a dance floor that definitely did not struggle to get the party started!

Just before sunset, we snuck away for some incredibly special photos with their beloved Zues before heading over to Saskatchewan Drive for one last round of portraits in that gorgeous evening light.

Cassie & Nathan, thank you for inviting me along to capture all the laughs, chaos, quiet moments, and everything in between. Congratulations again, Mr. & Mrs. Decker!

Sometimes digging through an old wedding gallery reminds me just how many photographs I still absolutely love. 🤍

This one has always been one of them.

Give me an interesting location, a couple willing to trust me, and a little room to play creatively and I am one very happy photographer.

Some wedding days stay with you forever. 🤍

Happy anniversary to Dayna & Emily, and to one of the most unforgettable adventures I've ever had the honour of photographing.

A surprise proposal at the top of a mountain, followed by an elopement and an entire day spent exploring Jasper together.

Three years ago today, Alyssa & Dane said their I do’s and began a brand new chapter together. 🤍

And somehow THREE YEARS have passed since I got to follow these two around with my camera while they laughed, loved, celebrated, and officially started this next chapter together. (Seriously, where does the time go?!)

One of my favourite things about photographing weddings is knowing that long after the flowers are gone and the dress is tucked away, these moments are still here. The big ones, the little ones, and all those perfectly them moments in between.

Happy 3rd anniversary, Alyssa & Dane! 🥂 Here’s to many, many more years of looking at each other just like this.

A wedding day is so much more than the portraits. 🤍

It’s the anticipation before the ceremony. The people who came from near and far to celebrate with you. The hugs, the happy tears, the laughter, the chaos, the quiet moments in between, and that incredible feeling of walking out together knowing you just got married.

When I photograph a wedding, I’m not only looking for beautiful images of the two of you. I’m watching for the moments happening all around you, the ones you may not even notice in the whirlwind of the day, because together, those photographs tell the whole story.

Years from now, I want you to be able to look through your gallery and remember not just what your wedding looked like, but what it felt like.
