When your veil understands the assignment. 💨

A windy wedding day in Whistler, BC, and that veil was not about to waste the opportunity.

Mountain wedding portraits are always a little unpredictable — wind, changing weather and whatever the mountains decide to throw at us — but that’s usually when the best photos happen.

Whistler wedding photography in the mountains, exactly how I like it: a little wild, relaxed and not overly posed.

A rainy North Arm Farm elopement in Pemberton 🌧️

A little rain was never going to stop this one.

A small ceremony under the trees, umbrellas at the ready, mist hanging over the mountains and plenty of time afterwards to wander around North Arm Farm for photos.

One of my favourite things about a Pemberton elopement is that you really don’t need perfect weather for it to look incredible. Clouds and rain completely change the mountains, and on this day the low cloud rolling through Mount Currie made a pretty great backdrop.

A Jewish wedding in Squamish with one of the wildest Horas I’ve ever photographed.

There are parts of a wedding day you can plan, and then there are parts where you just have to hang on and see what happens 😂

Meghan & Ethan’s Hora at the Railway Museum of British Columbia was absolute chaos in the best possible way. Chairs in the air, people flying, drinks being poured and a dance floor that did not let up.

A very colourful, slightly rainy wedding at Sunwolf Riverside Resort in Squamish 🌸🌲

Brooke & Ben got married surrounded by the forest, with a little rain during their outdoor ceremony (and plenty of umbrellas), portraits by the river, a packed reception under the tent and a whole lot of laughing throughout the day.

Sunwolf is one of my favourite Squamish wedding venues for exactly this reason — you can have your ceremony in the forest, sneak away for photos along the river and then have everyone together for dinner and dancing without leaving the property.

And honestly, a bit of rain in the forest never looks bad.

Dreamcatcher Meadows Wedding | Pemberton Wedding Photographer

If you’re planning a Dreamcatcher Meadows wedding in Pemberton, this venue has everything—mountain views, riverside ceremony spaces, cedar trees, an incredible ivy-covered barn...and it’s perfect if your dog is part of the family too.

Alex & Graeme’s wedding was full of personality from start to finish. Their four-legged VIP joined them for portraits before a beautiful outdoor ceremony.

Afterward, guests celebrated in the iconic open-air barn before dancing late into the night.

One of the reasons I love photographing a Dreamcatcher Meadows wedding is how many incredible backdrops are all within walking distance. From mountain portraits and quiet cedar trees to one of the best rustic reception spaces in the Sea to Sky, it’s a venue that photographs beautifully from beginning to end.

A Porsche, champagne, a vintage-inspired dress, and mountain views—proof that a Whistler elopement can be anything you want it to be.

D & Z exchanged vows beside one of Whistler’s lakes before celebrating with a champagne spray and portraits surrounded by the Coast Mountains. One of the biggest reasons I recommend sunrise engagement sessions in Whistler? You never know what you’ll get.

Some mornings it’s golden light. Others, like this one, the valley fills with fog and creates a completely different atmosphere. Either way, early mornings often reward you with calm lakes, quiet locations, and beautiful conditions for photos.

This foggy sunrise at Rainbow Park might just be one of my favourites yet.

B & C got married at surrounded by close friends and family.
Squamish Valley Golf Club has some pretty amazing spots for sunset photos 🙌
