B & D, the sweetest. When we first spoke, they talked about how they are naturally goofy, playful and wanted someone to be able to capture them in their element. Bringing their families from opposite sides of the globe, him Australia and her, Brazil, the importance of family and their connections was huge. Although a language barrier, it didn’t stop their families from celebrating with each other all throughout the day. Their moms, in a constant embrace, no need for words, when love is the language.
2 days prior to the event, a forest fire in Pemberton put a lot of unknowns for what was to come. And yet, these two took it with stride. As they said, our families are here, and if we need to get married in a park, it will be just as beautiful and full of love.
Photographers themselves, and with countless guests in the same field, my imposter syndrome was real. But my gosh, everything about this day was perfection. The people, the joy, the blow up kangaroo, the speeches in both English and Portuguese, and the incredible love they share. Thank you B & D for asking me to capture your incredible wedding.
