Let's talk Creative Direction..
Creative Direction has always been at the core of what I do.
Photography is how I execute the vision, but the vision itself is where everything begins.
When I take on a project, I’m not just showing up with a camera. I’m building a concept from the ground up. I take the time to truly understand the brand, the person, the energy, and how it needs to be expressed visually. This is especially vital in visual storytelling, where every detail shapes how your audience connects and remembers you.
Pre-production is where I develop the full creative concept, the moodboard, the story, the tone, and how every element will come together.
That often includes guiding the styling, the hair, makeup, wardrobe, and the overall aesthetic. Every detail is intentional. It’s about creating something that feels cohesive and aligned, not just visually beautiful, but meaningful and on brand. This is where the magic of the mind plays its part.
On set, I step fully into that director role by guiding movement, expression, and energy, making sure what we envisioned translates into the images in a way that feels natural but still elevated and editorial.
And that direction doesn’t stop when the shoot ends. It carries through into post-production, where I refine the final images so the tone, color, and emotion all stay consistent with the original vision.
There are definitely productions where the photographer and creative director are two separate roles, and both are essential. But in my work, those roles naturally merge. I’ve always been someone who sees the full picture first, and then uses photography as the medium to bring it to life.
So when I say I’m both a photographer and a creative director, it’s really a reflection of the full scope of how I create, from the concept to final image.
If you feel a pull toward a more intentional, story-driven visual experience, I’d love to connect.
Send me a DM, and let’s bring your vision to life.
