MEET WRECK-IT RALPH! 🐾

We had the absolute pleasure of meeting and photographing this handsome two-year-old Pitbull the other day! Wreck-It Ralph is one of two deserving dogs we’re helping to set up for success through our third annual pet portrait fundraiser, held in honour of October being Pitbull Awareness Month.

Why you’ll fall in love with Ralph:

🐶 He’s good with other dogs
🐱 He’s good with cats
🐴 He’s even good with horses
🥰 He absolutely loves cuddles
🐕 He’s always excited to go for a walk

Ralph is a big, affectionate love bug who would benefit from basic manners classes, and the amazing news is that his future family won’t have to do it alone!

He has been waiting at the shelter since August and is more than ready to find a family of his very own. Through this fundraiser, Ralph will receive a professional training package that will follow him into his new home, helping him and his future family start their life together with the tools they need to succeed.

PET PORTRAIT MINIS - FOR PIT BULL AWARENESS MONTH

October is Pit Bull Awareness Month, and this marks our third annual fundraiser celebrating this incredibly loving, and often misunderstood, breed!

This year, we’re doing things a little differently. Funds raised will provide up to $500 toward professional training for each of two pit bulls currently in shelter and foster care while they wait for their forever families.

This training support will follow each dog after adoption, helping them and their new families build confidence, strengthen their bond and begin their lives together with the tools they need to succeed.

One pet is permitted per session. If you would like portraits of two pets, please book two back-to-back sessions.

Reactive dogs are absolutely welcome! Just let us know in advance so we can create a plan and set them up for success. If your pet has allergies, please bring treats that are safe for them to enjoy.

Come celebrate your best friend, help two deserving pitties prepare for their forever homes and show our community just how wonderful these dogs truly are!

Elopements and weddings may be our jam, but boy, oh boy, is there something extra magical about helping someone pull off the surprise of a lifetime!

Lukas reached out to us on Instagram with a plan to surprise his beautiful now-fiancée with an epic proposal and photoshoot. Together, we planned the moment, and absolutely nailed it!

She said YES, of course! 🥂 We popped champagne, celebrated like crazy, got wildly romantic and soaked up every bit of love in the air.

I will NOT be using an AI-generated poster to convince you to book my Christmas minis! (or to book anything actually) 🎄

I’ve used AI to make fun things in the past, but that was before I really understood the impact of generating all of these images. And as a graphic designer, I also can’t help but feel a little sad watching AI-generated posters replace so much of the actual art and design work people have spent years learning to create.

But there’s another reason I won’t use one for my minis:

I want you to book because you love my photography. ❤️🥹

I’m going to advertise my Christmas minis using real photos I’ve taken, of real families, in real studio setups, so you can actually get a vision of what YOUR family photos could look like.

Because wouldn’t you rather see my actual work vs. a perfectly generated version of a photo I didn’t take, advertising a setup that may not even exist, and then start to expect or believe your photos will look just like it? 😅

OUR “TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE” GRAND OPENING PRICE IS COMING TO AN END!

When we launched True North Adventure Elopements, we wanted to start with something BIG. We introduced our helicopter elopement package at an incredible grand opening price.

And honestly? It really was an insane deal.

For $4,500, couples receive:

🚁 Round-trip helicopter flights to an incredible mountaintop location
📸 Professional wedding photography
💍 Your wedding day officiant
🥂 Planning, coordination, champagne & the full adventure elopement experience

We intentionally priced our first season extremely low while we launched this new side of the business, built our portfolio, created relationships with our vendors and, most importantly, proved that this crazy little dream could actually work.

But we always knew that price couldn’t last forever.

At $4,500, the package simply isn’t priced sustainably for everything that goes into creating these experiences. So as our grand opening season comes to an end, so does our introductory pricing.

Beginning in October, our helicopter elopement package will increase to $6,000 + GST. This will be our standard package price moving forward.

BUT there is still time to take advantage of our original pricing!

✨ Book before October 1st and you can still lock in the $4,500 + GST package price for your future elopement. ✨

You don’t have to get married before October. You just have to get your date booked before our new pricing takes effect.

So if you’ve been watching our adventures all summer thinking, “One day…”
