Happy Halloween! I’m sorry I have pretty much ghosted all of you the past few years! My husband has significant health issues and I had to adapt personally and professionally. Although I have stepped away from photography in a big way, I have fully embraced my bridal seamstress era! Tailoring, dressmaking, and alterations is what I actually went to college for and if I had a super power, it would be sewing! I am able to work from home while also being able to give my husband all the tlc he needs.
So I haven’t disappeared exactly, I’m just focussed elsewhere. You can always keep up to my current life of sewing and bridal stuff at Sandra Scherger Seamstress. I would love to carry on our conversations there!
I will keep my photography page going, but more as a strictly creative outlet space. I loved the artistic type shoots and editing and hope to find time to do that again.

Oh hi, it's been a hot minute since I've been here! I have been m.i.a. due to living my secret life for the past few months at my "day job" doing alterations on gorgeous bridal and formal gowns! Also, my old computer died in May, so I'm finally able to edit sessions again, now that I have a new computer! This wonderful grad has waited VERY patiently for me to get these images into existence, so I thank her from the bottom of my heart! Plus, I had the joy of doing her dress alts, so how lucky am I?! I thought I'd do some B&W versions, and do they ever change the vibe of the images! What do you prefer?

I have been enjoying doing these mini grad shoots so much! These are just a few quick iPhone shots, I still need to get my new computer to edit the ones from my good camera! Soon! What are some fashion “rules” that are no longer followed or meant to be broken? I personally think that footwear choice is huge! It’s great to see clients wear unconventional, super cool (and usually comfortable!) shoes that reflect their personalities and can be dressed up or down for other occasions. I’ve seen everything from Crocs to Birkenstocks, and cowboy boots to Nike swoosh’s. 😉 What would you wear?

It was so much fun breaking out the lights and backdrop to photograph a very special grad yesterday!

Do photography backdrops and lights belong in a sewing studio? They do in mine! When grads bring their outfits to me for altering, they get an optional portrait taken when they pick them up! I always do try-ons on pick up day to double check everything fits perfectly, so may as well show up camera ready and do a quick fun shoot while we’re at it?! I also offer $75 bucks off a regular photo session which can be used at any time till the end of 2024. Reach out soon if you are still needing alterations, my calendar is filling fast! Remember way back in September of last year that I shared some pics of a young fellow with his awesome buckskin horse? And I said there were more pics to come of him and his family?
