I walked off that stage and thought — that's what it feels like to show up as yourself.

I've spent years learning the hard way that shrinking yourself to fit what you think a business owner is supposed to look like doesn't work. It's exhausting. It's isolating. And it costs you the thing that makes you actually good at what you do.

So when I was asked to speak at the Spark Your Future Youth Entrepreneurs Forum, I didn't prepare a polished, corporate presentation. I shared my story. The real one — the parts where I lost myself, poured into the wrong people, buried my own dreams while building everyone else's, and forgot everything I'd already accomplished.

And it was the most therapeutic thing I've done for my business in a long time.

The feedback I received meant everything. But the one that stopped me in my tracks? A parent told me their daughter said I was "celebrity level good."

A kid. Unfiltered. No reason to say it unless she meant it.

That's what happens when you stop performing and start showing up. People feel it.

Your business shouldn't cost you who you are.

February was full in the best way.

Community events, dancing every week with Strut Society, photographing spaces like Girls Brunch and Hustle + Charm, learning with the Manitoba Q***r Chamber of Commerce, admin days fuelled by coffee, and a whirlwind trip to Ontario capturing something completely new.

Moments like these remind me how lucky I am to do work that connects me with so many incredible people and communities.

Grateful for every person who stepped in front of my lens this month.
