To my daughter ~ How is it possible that in 5 days you are 12?!?
This morning I just had to take time to write this-
I hope I can keep it together while reminiscing about all our beautiful moments together…

I asked God for a best friend and he sent me you. I will never forget the first time I held you in my arms, I was so young and scared , but mostly thankful and excited. My life changed instantly - it was impossible to described , yet incredible to feel.

When I first looked into your eyes - I knew you were going to be a free spirit. You had that spark in your eyes that let me know you are going to change the world, make it a better place.
I was right , you have already given me so much to be proud of these past 12 years. The way you care about people. But most of all your courage - impossible became I’m possible. I adore your smile and cherish all of your hugs

Girls with dreams become woman with vision. Like you said to me one day when we were talking about politics and upcoming elections , “mom ,if one man can destroy everything , why can’t one girl change it?” Mind-blowing !!! - YOU are going to great things one day my girl. Your determination is so inspiring. Sweetheart, you are one of a kind. A little sass and a lot of badass!

I cannot wait to see you thrive through high school , college and whatever comes next.

You are my biggest accomplishment and nothing will ever compare, the day you entered my life was the day everything else became a little less important. I know I’ve made some mistakes along the way and for this I am sorry, I am far from being the perfect parent , but I have always done the best I could.

I will love you with all I am for all of eternity. A mothers love knows no bounds, right now they might just seem like words to you, but one day you will see how incredibly true this is.
