I wish I'd taken a better photo with my painting, but alas, I didn't. It's cute though. I was standing a bit from it so it looks a lot smaller here.

The beautiful piece above it is by . I *love* their work, so I was really happy to see our pieces hanging closely together. 😄

I tried some different things in 2023, and while it was enjoyable to try other subject matter, the uncompromising and universal feedback I've gotten is "You're already known and established for your figure work. The acrylic stuff is nice but I prefer the spicy watercolour pieces." 😂

The people have spoken! 🥳

So, for 2024 I will be back to my "usual" stuff; watercolour and figure work. I really enjoyed working in monochrome in 2023- that part of my experimenting did pay off! I have a new project in the works to keep going in that direction.

I can't stay completely away from colour, so you can expect some vibrant pieces too. And everything will be ultraviolet light reactive, as always. 😄

Finally, I have a few collabs I want to make happen this year, because combining forces with another creative is a ton of fun!

I accomplished a lot creatively in 2023, and I'm excited to unleash new energy and ideas into the world in 2024.

Whoohoo! I'm pleased to be a part of cre8ery's annual 2024 members exhibition, Art & Soul, January 5, 11am to January 27th, 5pm. Gallery Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 5pm.

January 5th, cre8ery is open 11am to 9pm for First Friday in the Exchange. Gallery is closed Sunday and Mondays. I will be at the gallery (in the studio) for First Friday (from about 5 till 8:30pm)! If you can't make it when i am there, you can still check out the show as other artists and Jordan, the owner, is there.

Eye spy... I truly love seeing my artwork in people's homes. 🥰 (How awesome is that light fixture? 😍)

You're viewing a limited edition 16"x16" print of the (large) original that's currently in my studio. Prints are hand retouched with Blacklight reactive pigments, so they glow just like the original.💡

🥰 it's been a great year!

My best 9 of 2023 (I might post more after tonight?) clearly everyone loves my Journey to the Stars series almost all of them sold at the show (or soon after by Pulse Gallery!)

1. Commission completed for my nurse!
2. By the Pond (one of my favs!) sold!
3. My friend / joined my private studio space
4. Getting excited for my exhibition October 1-31, 2023.
5. Another commission (reel)
6. Another piece from Journey to the stars!
7. A piece that was intended for Journey to the Stars but bought it before I was totally finished it (varnish)
8 & 9. Two more commissions!

This year my focus was on 3 large commissions and the Journey to the stars exhibition. Behind the scenes I am working on larger paintings (and some small) for my letting go exhibition.

With the exception for damaging my rotator cuff / now frozen shoulder, limiting the amount of work I can do, I had an amazing year! My health has improved in some ways and I got a new insulin pump that works better for me.

Ps Jackson is purring away on my lap as I write this. I feel the ❤️

One of the defining features of my work is that I use UV reactive pigments and ink. I love that a change of light creates an entirely different mood within the same piece.

"Strings Section", as well as four other originals, will be hanging in the auxiliary gallery from October 14-November 18.

She *is* available to take home, so if you've been thinking of adding new art to your collection, it's a great opportunity! 😁
