This past Friday I had the privilege of photographing the 2025 National Terry Fox Ride of Hope as it passed through Winnipeg, Manitoba.

This inspiring ride spans coast to coast with dedicated riders cycling across Canada in support of innovative cancer research.

It’s been a wonderful weekend in Ottawa at the 2025 Canadian Imaging Conference and Expo hosted by Professional Photographers of Canada. A huge thank you to the organizing committee who put together an amazing weekend of great speakers, great food and great camaraderie. And a heartfelt thank you to the PPOC organization and the beautiful friends I am making along this journey.

This particular conference was very special for me as I received my Craftsman of Photographic Arts designation. This designation reflects my images entered in National Image Salons, two Accreditations, continuous education to improve my skills as a photographer and my work with the PPOC organization. None of which would happen without my fellow PPOC members.

I am also very honoured to have all 4 of my images scoring in the 2025 National Salon, with the added bonus of my Fine Art image “Last Days of Summer” being selected for a Judge’s Choice Award.

I’m very grateful to Professional Photographers of Canada(PPOC) for sharing one of my fine art images, which scored a Merit at the 2024 National Salon. I came across this beautiful trio at the English Gardens in Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg.

Joining PPOC has allowed me to improve my photography skills with the help of many new friends and mentors so willing to share their knowledge and experience. I’m constantly learning and being inspired by this amazing community.

I’m so excited for a wonderful new opportunity as a new contributing photographer for the Tuxedo and Linden Woods community magazines. I’m looking forward to photographing and capturing the personalities of community members! Published monthly by Best Version Media, the “Neighbours of Tuxedo” and “Neighbours of Linden Woods”magazines feature a local individual, family or business. This past month they featured me!

With the support of many people, I am so happy to say that I have achieved my Portraiture Accreditation with the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC) organization.

A huge thank you to my clients, friends and family for helping me achieve this. Also a thank you to my PPOC family for the encouragement and support, in particular Mark Bilash of Vintage and Vogue Photography for his mentorship along the way. I look forward to continued learning and improving my skills to always be bringing my best to my clients.
