I forgot how beautiful it is—to simply sit in nature and let it unfold around you. The late afternoon sun spilled across the lake, soft and golden, and a little Semipalmated Sandpiper wandered the shoreline, calmly searching for food. I stayed quiet, just watching, seeing how close it might come. Then, as if nature wanted to show off a little more, a bullfrog appeared nearby—an unexpected bonus in the stillness. It was one of those moments that reminds you to slow down and just take it all in.
