Had the honour of photographing 10 gorgeous/handsome grads today. A new chapter of their lives just waiting to be written. A world of possibilities.
My only words of “wisdom” that I have is to not feel pressured to follow the crowd.
You have one life. ONE. Live it to the fullest and live it in whatever way that brings you the most happiness.
Congratulations to the 2023 class. 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓🎓

Oh and thank you Mother Nature for holding off on the rain today. I truly appreciated it.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve had the pleasure of taking some newborn photos. Todays little guy was such a sweetheart and did incredible.

Well here it is friends!

I gave my kids lemonade stand a complete makeover!
Weather permitting I’ll be lugging this baby outside to a spruce treed area nearby for Xmas photos.
I have two spots left for tomorrow at 10am and 11:30, and more available next Saturday between 10am- 1:00pm the 26 and 2 openings on the 27th.
Sessions are about 15 minutes and you get to choose your favourite photo!

$50 - session plus 1 photo
$70 - session plus 2 photos
$80 - session plus 3 photos
$90 - session plus 4 photos
$100 - session plus 5 photos

I’ve been getting private messages asking if I’m doing Christmas minis this year. Unfortunately due to doing some major renovations, I can’t guarantee that I will have my normal space to take them in. As such, I will be offered outdoor minis with a hot cocoa stand (something like this photos), location to be determined soon. Message me if interested. :)

Know of anyone expecting or recently had a baby? This read is for you. This is so huge and often overlooked.

Hold the mother, not the baby.⁣
⁣
Because the baby’s being taken care of—⁣
fed, snuggled, and given all the love in the world—⁣
by not only the mother,⁣
but her partner, grandparents, siblings, cousins, and friends.⁣
⁣
But the mother,⁣
may have gaps in her mind from lack of sleep,⁣
may be mechanical in her motions as she’s healing,⁣
may feel more like a mess than a mother,⁣
may be sitting in bed, crying, feeling overwhelmed in her body and life,⁣
may be full of mom guilt because in her mind, "she's not good enough,"⁣
and she’s bleeding, wincing in pain, swollen and emotional.⁣
⁣
And the mother’s that baby's whole world and needs to be seen, so she doesn't disappear into that postpartum fog.⁣
⁣
So, hold the mother, not the baby.⁣
⁣
A mother agrees that her baby matters more.⁣
But she’s hurting, while she’s the person behind the baby,⁣
in the background, making it all happen:⁣
feeding her baby at all hours,⁣
snuggling her baby close to comfort newborn cries,⁣
and being that baby’s everything.⁣
⁣
So, it’s the mother who needs your love.⁣
⁣
And a mother will remember who held her up.⁣
⁣
So instead of “I’m coming to see the baby,”⁣
try saying, “I’m coming to see you 𝘢𝘯𝘥 meet the baby, too.”⁣
⁣
Because the mother needs to be held more.⁣

A little behind the scenes from this evenings shoot. I was amazed by how many incredible products CJ Hair & Spa has! Amazing hair products for both men and women, foot therapy, makeup and top of the line hair tools! I’m totally getting the milkshake series to maintain this platinum blond. Also side note… It smells like grape hubba bubba and really makes you feel like a kid 🙂.

Need a gift idea for mom? Tell her to get dressed up in her favorite outfit and don't tell her where or what you're doing and give her a special mini session with her kiddos!
If surprises don't usually pan out, you can get a gift card and go from there! Either way, a mom will never not appreciate pictures with her kids.

Throw back to fall, when the weather was warmer and we didn’t have to bundle up as if we are heading on a North Pole expedition. When children can run in circles around their parents as fast as they can without bailing in the snow.
When the setting sun turns the horizon a beautiful golden hue. ☀️
