Amber & Alan 🤎 05.23.2026

There is something really special about a wedding day built by the people who love you most.

Amber & Alan were married in their backyard, surrounded by family, friends, and one very important three-legged guest of honour: Murfy 🐾. From the handmade chuppah built by Amber’s dad, to the stunning florals arranged by her sister, to the ceremony backdrop their family created together, this day felt deeply personal at every turn.

And honestly? Any dog owner will appreciate the dedication that went into preparing a Manitoba backyard in May ... the strategically spray-painted lawn absolutely sent me, and I loved every second of it.

What stood out most, though, was how intentionally these two focused on their people.

Nothing felt rushed. Every conversation lingered a little longer. Every hug felt meaningful. The entire day was centred around being present with the community they have built around them.

After the ceremony, everyone gathered at Kitchen Sync where the celebrations continued with a unique & memorable reception. A live caricature artist kept guests entertained all evening, and Alan surprised everyone with an incredible video featuring him and Amber edited into some of their favourite TV shows; a perfect reflection of all those nights they’ve spent curled up together on the couch.

A backyard ceremony, a room full of people who adore them, and a wedding day that felt completely, unapologetically like them. My favourite kind. 🤎

Happy first anniversary to The Chudds 🥂

Lindsay & Jaremy’s wedding day was effortless. Full of soft moments and fun-filled celebration and the kind of wedding where you walk away feeling more in love with love itself.

Some of my top memories from their (smoky) wedding day include: a quiet (“blind”), private vow exchange before guests arrived to the venue, a tear filled walk up the aisle (looking at you Jaremy), their friend playing piano for Lindsay’s processional, a private post-ceremony toast with the wedding party, an incredible Ukranian Dance celebration by Jar’s dance team, and sunset portraits with Linds munching on a donut in between poses and locations.

Happy first anniversary, Kait & Jake ✨

A wedding day that was effortlessly sweet, full of heart, and totally them. Photographed by our associate photographer Tedi, every moment felt relaxed, genuine, and full of love....I cried as I culled through the images I received from Tedi, tbh.

One of our favourite details? Their pup was right there to celebrate by walking down the aisle with them - adding the perfect personal touch (and a few tail wags) to an already meaningful day (also peep Kait’s necklace 🐾)

From start to finish, these two brought such calm, grounded energy to their wedding—and it made for a day that felt beautifully intentional in every way.

Caitlin & Kyle 🤎

A love story for the ages...mutual friends introduced them 14 years ago and after continuing to into each other at parties they quickly realized maybe this story was always supposed to happen 🥹

These two have the kind of relationship that feels easy in the best way. Cooking together, long chats over wine, hanging with their nieces, and just genuinely loving being around one another.

I had the best time yapping with these two as we strolled around the Legislature - these are two people that make it real easy to be their friend.

Also fun fact - Caitlin sold me my life insurance last year! How CUTE!

A Hinge date that lasted 4 hours, a Montreal proposal involving a suspiciously large ring box, and one very iconic three-legged pup named Murfy.

Amber & Alan’s autumn engagement session at Birds Hill Park was cozy, playful, and SO them.

PLUS they get married tomorrow!!! I’m so excited to kick off the 2026 wedding season with these two honeys!

Jessica & Colton 🥰

These two met in 2017 at a church youth group & have been friends up until about a year ago when they decided to fall in love!

Jessica just recently returned from finishing her teaching degree in Thailand so most of their romantic relationship has been spent half a world a part but here they are, getting ready to say YES to being besties for life this summer 🤎

These two love escape rooms, so when Jess returned home, Colton secretly planned an entire custom escape room proposal, smuggled the ring in hidden inside a LEGO box in his sock and somehow still managed to completely surprise Jessica. Meanwhile Jess was so locked into solving the game that when she found him on one knee her first response was basically “okay but what about the time limit” LMAO 😭

J&C are just two people who genuinely love being around each other and honestly, that’s the best kind of love story.

We cannot wait to celebrate you this summer, honeybabes!

Anna & Daniel 💛

A little April Vancouver love story for these two honeybabes!

These two met way back in 2018 at a student retreat during the first year of their grad schooling. Anna & Daniel both work in healthcare and have built such a grounded, intentional life together; the love trying new restaurants (honestly, same), travelling whenever they can, cozy nights watching Netflix, and quietly taking care of one another in all the little ways that matter most.

Their proposal story is so cute. Daniel had carefully planned everything out in their apartment with paper lanterns & candles that spelled out “Will You Marry Me?” When Anna got home from work, Daniel was already on one knee waiting for her arrival 🥹

I’m so excited to celebrate their love this year in Winnipeg!

Happy first anniversary to the Soubry’s 🥂

Dana & Paul are some of the kindest, most humble people you will ever meet & SO easy to connect with. They have a steadiness to them that kept the entire day feeling calm, intentional, and entirely unhurried. I loved watching these two connect constantly with a simple hand hold or a kiss on the cheek. There was so much love in the air all day that it makes my heart squeeze a little bit just thinking about it!

One of my favourite aspects of their wedding day was their family ties. Dana & Paul are both extremely close with their families and their siblings and it showed in every moment of their wedding day. The speeches they gave, the fact that both of their siblings were in the other’s wedding party, and the way Dana’s Mum took photos of absolutely everything to document such an exciting day!

The closeness was so beautiful to unbox; from the fact that Dana & her bro used to be roommates and still love cooking together all the way to the fact that Paul’s sister went to school with Dana and is actually responsible for setting these two up!

Dana & Paul - I’m wishing you a lifetime of travelling the world and celebrating your love, hand-in-hand!

Isabelle & Tristan 🤎

A session I loved because it was raw & real. Arriving to traces of the move everywhere (boxes tucked into corners, rooms a disaster, paint swatches on the walls). This session is the epitome of the beautiful chaos of two people building a life together in real time.

In the midst of chaos, they sought a BIT of order though...Tristan had stayed up all night painting before I arrived… literally crawling into bed at 7am just so their home would feel *slightly* ready for this session. Which honestly tells you everything you need to know about him & the way he cares about Isabelle.

These two met in the fall of 2023 through mutual friends, started texting after a Halloween party conversation that lasted hours, and a month and a half later were in Disney together. Since then, it’s been game nights, sushi dates, and being each other’s safe spaces - just all the good s**t you want your friend to have in a relationship.

One of my favourite things about documenting people in their homes is how the space starts to tell the story too. The quiet glances. Dancing in the kitchen. The way Tristan instinctively reaches for Isabelle & Alfie. The softness of starting over somewhere new together & all the dreams these walls are already holding.

No perfectly curated setup could ever compete with that kind of honesty.

Home already looks really good on you two - so happy for you!
