I swear crop is my worst enemy when it comes to post production. I had to revisit this image knowing that my original composition pre-crop was far more dynamic. Sometimes less is more and in the case of this cedar composition, that adage is true.

Still pictured is 3.5 million mosquitoes

My post schedule is def anti algorithm
Seems like every campground during May Weekend was either flooded, partially flooded. Took a chance on a place I have only been to once and I am happy to say Hecla was flawless. A place of contrast: The icy winds off the lake in compendium with the warm sun. Exposed sandy beach for 500m followed by snow packed trails the next 500m. Really enjoyed my stay and also enjoyed looking at these lil bergs

Currently happy that there was an orange theme during my walk on Wellington.

Tourism Agencies will be relieved to note that I will stop tagging them in order to not flood their DMs

Standing on a snowbank looking down Wellington and this lil train decided to come say hello.

Normally Winnipeg in the winter isn’t very inspirational for me but with the heavy snow falling and the winds calm, I felt a sense of tranquility in the air as I pressed the shutter.

My top 8 pictures of 2021
It was a good year for photography! The second half of 2021 saw me working with a new full frame Z5 which I am continually excited to work with.

My goals for 2022 is to get out more and try to capture a couple of compositions a week(weather permitting)

Also maybe get a drone

Talk about right place at the right time…catching this avalanche off the Roslyn building looking down Osborne. I wasn’t even planning on going out but thought I might on a whim, this was taken on my way back home, the light looked stunning so I thought I would take this shot down Osborne, set up my camera and as soon as I started taking this composition, a cascade of snow fell. Completely unplanned but this has turned out to be one of my most favourite images.
