For years I have wanted to create a time lapse that captures the flow of the tides going in and going out at Cape Split. In this time lapse, you will see the flow of water pushing it's way through the 5 kilometre passage between Cape Split and Parrsboro. More than 10 cubic kilometers of seawater, weighing 10 billion tonnes, flows in and out at Cape Split twice daily. This force is roughly comparable to that of 25 million horses. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did creating it.

One of my favorite shots from fall during its peak last year. On our way to Cape Clear we almost turned around, it was slightly snowing, complete overcast and we were really hoping for a sunrise.
Thankfully, we stuck with the plan and although there wasn't a sunrise the clouds rolling overhead were great to experience.
After watching the clouds pass by for a while the clouds had a slight break and for a brief moment the sun lit up the mountain tops and the river valley below.

Although it's only been a month, I already want to go see these adorable Puffins again in Cape Breton.

I don't believe I will ever get a photo quite like this ever again... So my last photo was actually a part of a timelapse on which I took over 130 images. This single photo is a combination of those 132 photos stacked on top of each other spanning over 2 hours in time showing the star trails above Peggys Cove Lighthouse.
The 'Aura' around Peggys Cove Lighthouse is actually from my camera lens getting fogged over from the moisture in the air part way through my timelapse. Initially, I thought my photos and timelapse would have been ruined but I believe it gave quite a unique and once and a lifetime shot that I really don't think I could replicate even if I tried.

Sunset in Scott's Bay, Nova Scotia from Saturday night (June 1st). Although beautiful to see this unique sight was caused from the smoke blowing across Canada from the current Alberta Wildfires.

There was an amazing amount of shooting stars during the Geminids Meteor shower last night. It was an incredibly peaceful and calm night, clear and quiet with only an owl hooting in the distance. Pictured here is the Acadian Memorial Cross at Hortonville. Erected in 1924, here marks the deportation site where roughly two thousand Acadians were deported from this location in 1755.
