Just incase you missed it, my name is Charlotte! Hi :)

I am a lifestyle, engagement + small-wedding photographer soon-to-be based out of Stirling, Ontario - but my roots grow from Kentville in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia! I am a military spouse and have been living this unorganized lifestyle for about 15 years (married for 12 of them)! It is this uncertain way of living and married life tha

t brought me to take photography from a hobby to a full-time job! It started out as me wanting to be the keeper of our own memories as husband and wife, like my dad did with our family growing up, then I decided I wanted to become that person for other people! I like to take the candid approach when it comes to my shooting style - I use prompts throughout my sessions but they are merely a guide and when my clients are comfortable, I want them to go off the beaten path and be themselves! The more over-the-top laughing, goofy movements, and jokes thrown around the better! I love movement, wild wind-swept hair, and dancing like no one is watching kind of photos! I want you to feel like we are old friends, hanging out, having a grand ol' time! But most of all, I want you to be completely and utterly YOU! That is when you will look and feel your best :)

It is a weird thing to have someone you don’t really know take your photos, but I promise that we will have the best time! I will make many loud noises when you are killing it and looking freaking bomb, and I promise that I will be the most awkward person at your session! That is the Charlotte Buckle guarantee - you cannot out-weird me! when you think of a special-to-you place, where comes to mind? ☺️

happy sunday friends! ☁️

i have been looking through past sessions and weddings and i cannot believe that i did not share from grace and arran’s engagement (or elopement, that will come eventually!)!

these two came from ontario to tie the knot in nova scotia last year! at that time, we were living in two different provinces (they ontario, me nova scotia), we decided to take the chance on the weather and squeeze in their complementary engagement session in the week of their elopement! of course, NS provided some beautiful moody weather for their engagement session (and wait until you see what they got on their elopement day! ☀️)

this was such a fun session and it took me to an area of the nova scotia i had never stopped in as well as a beach i had never been to! it’s these these moments - along with meeting the kindest and warm people, which grace and arran (and their families!!) both are - that i reminded why i love doing this as a job. i get invited to all of these beautiful places that have meaning to you ✨

so thank you! thank you for inviting me, a complete stranger, to these places that are special to you and allowing me the smallest glimpse into you and your relationship 💛

today is giving february vibes so let’s flashback to this author session i did back in february! ❄️📖

a little backstory: i met vanessa back in october when i went to the gilmore girls night at the stirling book company. i didn’t know anyone there (we had just moved to the area) but we started chatting, i found out she was an author and had a mini freak out because i think that is SO COOL 🤩! and the rest is history! fast forward to today, we are pals who share a love of coffee, gilmore girls (clearly), having too many hobbies, and books (not so shameless plug of my booksta 🤭)!

tracey, the owner of (here in stirling, ontario just in case you didn’t know!) was so kind to open the store for us on a day they are normally closed to use it as the backdrop for vanessa’s brand/author shoot! ✨

if you are looking for a mystery series that features ontario’s cottage country, you should definitely check out the charley scott mysteries series - ‘cover art’ and ‘shudder pulp’ - which you can pick up at the super cute stirling book company - and pick up a yummy coffee and tasty treat from while you check out the other incredible stores this little town has to offer 💛! might as well just make a day of it 🤗

i know, i know. it’s not beach season (sadly 😔) but i am going to share whatever whenever here because i have slacked and i want to share and they say sharing is caring.. so here! i am sharing because i care 🫶

this was my last beach session before we moved and also farewell to my friends Annabe and Jesse (and Ollie!) before they moved across the Atlantic! they did their “engagement session” after their elopement because it suited their timeline better (yes, you can absolutely swap if you wish!). i love that they chose to do their session at the same location as their elopement - it holds a lot of meaning to them and to capture them and this place in different seasons was really special ☺️ it’s coming up on their 1 year so possibly you’ll see photos from that day soon .. if i remember to post 😅

i think it’s time to come out of hibernation 🤭

you might be wondering where i’ve been..
. or you’re confused and have no idea who i am (likely the latter). either way, hello friends! 👋

i want to keep this as short and sweet (like me 😘) as possible .. but if you’ve ever received an email from me you know that almost never happens after i say those words 😅

2025 was a really tough year emotionally for me. a lot happened, some moments were very tough and others were so wonderful 💛 it was a rollercoaster. and to be frank (something i have never said 😂), i wasn’t sure if i was even going to come back here.

but i love photography. i LOVE the people i have met from it (like who is literal sunshine in human form ☀️). the places i have gotten to go because of it 🤯 photography changed my life for the better and i am ready to get back outside and frolic, laugh, and be merry with you all, if you’ll have 😊

i am booking late march - may right now for families (pets always welcome .. possibly mandatory if you have pets 😆), couples and any last minute elopements (i know you’re out there haha!) from brighton to kingston and everywhere in between 🫶

a few snaps from my last family session in nova scotia✨

i met candace earlier this year and immediately felt like i have known her since birth 😂 i could talk, laugh and cry with this woman all day every day! she has a heart of gold and i feel so blessed to have crossed paths with someone so hard working, patient, and inspirational as her 💛 and i am so happy to have captured these memories of her beautiful family just before we moved🥰..

had to make space for the place we called home these past 4 years 🤍

yesterday we passed the torch on to another family that i just know is going to love this house and all of it’s quirks and creatures (that visit.. not that live inside of the house 😂 thankfully we had no run ins with any of those 😅). it was a very tough parting for me for many reasons but this is the life of a military family. it has its downfalls but without it, we wouldn’t have had the time we were given in this home at all 🩷

so, here’s to our kingswood home 🍻 thank you for the beautiful memories!

next stop 🔜 ontario (in a week and a half!)

AND the most talented! little miss lauren MADE her wedding dress! yes! how freaking cool and special and awesome and stressful and amazing is that?! 🤯 she has inspired me to finally learn how to sew since any skills i learned in grade 9 family studies did not in fact stick with me 😅

these are just some sweet sneaks from mallorie, gareth and ada’s family session in grand pré and i was a little emotional afterward 🥹 i photographed them for the first time almost two years ago and here we are with our fourth session! each time has been so special and filled with even more laughs than before! i love watching families and little ones grow — i am so grateful for the opportunity to work with clients more than once 🤍

and even though we will be moving soon, we visit often .. so, not to be lame an quite the terminator but.. “i’ll be back” 🤖😂 (but i’m also still here until end of september 😅)

you know it’s wedding season when all goes silent over here 😅

hi! i am still here! i am keeping busy with weddings and sessions while also getting our house ready to put on the market THIS MONTH 😱 (who am i kidding.. mark is doing most of the work 🙈 bless him 🩷)

i have another busy weekend coming up and with two small but sweet weddings - one in the city and one back in grand pré - and a couple of mini sessions in grand pré on sunday!
