A little update from Leigha Jane Photography 💕

I’ve mulled over this most of the weekend and weighed the pros and cons and honestly none of the pros are worth the cons.

With the growing concerns surrounding AI, the misuse of children’s images online, and some of the really unsettling things happening with photos of minors on the internet, I’ve made the decision to change what I share publicly on my business page.

For the time being, I will no longer be posting photos from toddler or children’s sessions on social media.

I am absolutely still offering and photographing these sessions! This only changes what I personally share publicly — your little ones can still be photographed, your galleries will still be delivered as always, and nothing about the actual session experience is changing. And you are absolutely free to share your images to your own social media!

I will continue to share newborn sessions and graduating seniors with parent/guardian consent, but when it comes to younger children, I’d simply rather be a little overprotective of the images entrusted to me while the online world figures itself out.

As a photographer, I’ve always been incredibly grateful that families trust me with images of the people most precious to them. Right now, this is what feels like the responsible choice for my business.

Hopefully the internet becomes a safer, less weird place and I can happily fill your feeds with those adorable little faces again someday. 🥰

Thank you for understanding — and yes, please keep booking those kiddo sessions! I’m still shooting them, you just might not see the evidence on Facebook. My page interaction may go down and honestly that’s fine, I’m cool with that ❤️💕
