Since “fall” aurora is back here in the far north of Canada, I felt like sharing a few of my favourite recent fall aurora shots over the last couple of years. All taken in the NWT. I will be getting out soon to get some photos for this late summer/fall and before the snow flies. 💕🫶🏻

I’d never been to a bog before this trail and let me tell you. What a cool ass place. The diversity of life in this area is cool, how bogs are formed is cool and it was just a stunning spot. We got here just after sunrise, so we had the trail to ourselves the whole time.

The Bog Trail, aptly named, had orchids, carnivorous plants, many thrushes, warblers and sparrows chirping and flying among the small trees and everything was just SO GREEN.
Oh and we can’t forget about the mosquitoes. 🦟 There were lots. 😅

This national park was my 13th Canadian National Park. Which one will be next?! 👀

I’m so tired of seeing people be so fu***ng awful to plus size folks getting outdoors doing any number of activities but especially hiking. All because a post from 2 years ago by someone went viral showing a plus size woman getting SAR air lifted off of a trail due to a medical emergency. I am sure you can imagine the comments on any and all posts related to this incident. They are truly awful and evil.

An early morning at St Martins sea caves. We had the place to ourself for a while. What a cool spot. This coast is different from where I grew up, but same same too. All the little similarities and differences made it even more neat to experience.
