Cole Schmidtknecht from Wisconsin went to refill his daily Advair Diskus inhaler at Walgreens in January 2024. His insurance (through Optum Rx) had removed it from coverage. He couldn’t afford the 700%+ price spike, so he left with only a $5 rescue inhaler.
Five days later, he had a fatal asthma attack. His rescue inhaler was found empty by his bed. He died at just 22.
His parents are now suing Walgreens and Optum Rx for wrongful death.
This is NOT rare.
📊 1 in 6 US adults with asthma (nearly 3 million people) still skip or cut their medication because of cost — even in 2026. It doubles their risk of asthma attacks and ER visits.
Some states now cap inhalers at $25–$35, and some manufacturers offer $35/month cards… but pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) can still yank coverage overnight and turn life-saving medicine into a luxury.
Healthcare shouldn’t be this deadly.
💬 What would YOU do if your (or your child’s) inhaler jumped to $500+ overnight?

50-year-old Vineeta Shukla from Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh collapsed at home on February 22, 2026 while doing household chores. She was rushed to the hospital in Bareilly (Autonomous State Medical College) where doctors declared her brain dead (no brainstem reflexes, Glasgow Coma Scale 3). Her family started preparing for her funeral.
On February 24, while transporting her home along Bareilly-Haridwar NH-74 near Hafizganj, the ambulance violently hit a massive pothole. Suddenly Vineeta started breathing normally again!
Her husband Kuldeep Kumar Shukla cancelled the funeral preparations and rushed her to Neurocity Hospital in Pilibhit. Doctors found it was not true brain death but toxin-induced coma (likely snake or insect bite poisoning). After proper treatment she made a full recovery and was discharged on March 9, 2026 — awake, talking and back home!

Yo, stop scrolling right now — this GPS fact is about to blow your mind! 😱
You use GPS every single day thinking it’s totally free… but deadass, guess who’s actually paying the whole damn bill?
The United States is straight-up shelling out $1.8 to 2 BILLION dollars every single year to keep GPS running worldwide — ALL funded by American taxpayers.
Here’s the wild part: every American is lowkey chipping in so the entire planet can navigate like absolute bosses without paying a single dime.
Straight from the official GPS.gov website (checked today, March 19 2026):
‘The American taxpayer pays for the GPS service enjoyed throughout the world. All GPS program funding comes from general U.S. tax revenues.’
The bulk is budgeted through the Department of Defense / U.S. Space Force. Congress provided over $2 billion for the core GPS program in FY2022, the FY2023 request was over $1.8 billion, and the program still runs consistently in the $1.8–2 billion annual range for satellites, ground control, operations, sustainment & modernization (FY2026 updates confirmed on the site today).
In this crazy world of tech, we’re out here using these fire tools every day without even realizing who’s footing the massive global bill behind the scenes.
Insane, right?

🚨 In 1937, the first shopping cart was invented… but people absolutely HATED it! 😱🛒
Men said: “Pushing this feels unmanly!” 😂
Women said: “It reminds me of pushing a baby carriage!” 🙄
The carts just sat unused in the Oklahoma supermarket owned by Sylvan Goldman.
So he came up with pure genius social engineering: He hired well-dressed, good-looking people (models and actors) to walk around the store pushing carts, making it look normal and even fashionable. He also placed employees at the entrance to politely explain how helpful the carts were.
Within a few weeks… everyone started using them!
This weird history fact completely changed retail forever – what started as a mocked invention became one of the most profitable ideas in shopping history!
