Stento a credere che sia già passato un anno.

Il 7 febbraio 2025 inauguravo la mia prima mostra, Nontiscordardimé: un duetto con l’artista argentino-tedesco Francisco Macfarlane a Il Meccanico San Vitale a Verona.
Uno spazio che ha ospitato, tra i tanti, le opere di Alessandra Calò, Wim Wenders e Pedro Almodovar. Come un anno fa, la mia gratitudine va a Simone Azzoni e Francesca Marra per la fiducia e l’accompagnamento, e a Experimental Photo Festival, Pablo Giori e Laura Ligari per aver reso possibile questa opportunità.

Da lì, l’anno ha preso forma come una fioritura inattesa. Unlike Flowers è stato mostrato a Ginevra e a Brescia, l’incontro con Vittoria Fragapane ha aperto nuove ed inaspettate strade, ed il progetto è stato selezionato per la pubblicazione da Artphilein Editions come uno dei riconoscimenti della Open Call di Liquida Photoestival.

Ma non è l’unica progetto in corso per questo 2026. Nuove, eccitanti novità sono in fase di elaborazione.

I can hardly believe that a year has already passed.

On 7 February 2025, I inaugurated my first exhibition, Nontiscordardimé: a duet with Argentine-German artist at in Verona.

A space that has hosted, among many others, the works of Alessandra Calò, Wim Wenders and Pedro Almodovar. As a year ago, my gratitude goes to and for their trust and support, and to , .giori for making this opportunity possible.

From there, the year took shape like an unexpected blossoming. Unlike Flowers was shown in Geneva and Brescia, and the meeting with curator .fragapane opened up new and unexpected pathways, and the project was selected for publication by , as one of the prizes in the Open Call.

But this is not the only project in the pipeline for 2026. New and exciting developments are in the works.

More information will be coming with Spring. Just like Flowers do.

Non trovo le parole per esprimere la gratitudine che provo per aver portato 🌸Unlike Flowers 🌸 nei chiostri di San Pietro in Oliveto – un luogo profondamente legato alla storia di mia madre Emanuela, a cui il progetto è dedicato.

Grazie di cuore a chi è venuto all’inaugurazione, a Padre Gino e Francesca Vesentini , a Meri Polito, Roberto Riva, Padre Roberto, Elsabetta Giuliani e Giulia Pennacchio .pennacchio : senza di voi questa mostra non sarebbe esistita. Ma soprattutto grazie alla nonna Maria, in prima fila nonostante il caldo torrido.

Un grazie accorato va anche a chi ha sponsorizzato la mostra e a Grenze - Arsenali Fotografici .arsenali.fotografici, Experimental Photo Festival e Webster Geneva Campus per il contributo alla produzione.

La mostra resta aperta nelle prossime settimane secondo gli orari di apertura del convento dei Carmelitani Scalzi. Vista la fragilità dell’istallazione, probabilmente fino alla prima grossa tempesta ⛈️🌬️. Quindi affrettatevi 😁.

I truly have no words to express the gratitude I feel for bringing 🌸 Unlike Flowers 🌸 to the cloisters of San Pietro in Oliveto – a place deeply tied to the story of my mother, Emanuela, to whom this project is dedicated.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who came to the opening, to Padre Gino and Francesca Vesentini, to Meri Polito, Roberto Riva, Padre Roberto, Elsabetta Giuliani e Giulia Pennacchio – this exhibition wouldn’t have been possible without you. But above all, thank you to Grandma Maria, front row and glowing despite the scorching heat.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to those who supported the exhibition, as well as to Grenze – Arsenali Fotografici, Experimental Photo Festival, and Webster Geneva Campus for their contributions to the production.

The exhibition will remain open in the coming weeks, during the opening hours of the Discalced Carmelites convent. Due to the fragility of the installation, probably only until the first big storm ⛈️🌬️ – so don’t wait too long 😁.

Il progetto presentato riguarda un’indagine personale di lungo corso, iniziata nel 2020, a proposito del ricordo di mia madre, Emanuela, morta quando avevo due anni, e della natura stessa della memoria.

Contestualmente all'inaugurazione, presenteró il porgetto in compagnia di Francesca Vesentini, arteterapista, e Padre Gino Toppan, amico di lunga data di Emanuela e appartenente all'ordine dei Carmelitani Scalzi.

Io saró presente anche tutta la giornata di domenica 29. La mostra sarà accessibile fino al 15 agosto negli orari di visita del convento.

Se ti sarà possibile, sarò estremamente contento di vederti nel weekend inaugurale!

The project presented concerns a long-term personal investigation, begun in 2020, into the memory of my mother, Emanuela, who disappeared when I was two years old, and the nature of memory itself.

At the opening, I will present the project in the company of Francesca Vesentini, an art therapist, and Father Gino Toppan, a long-time friend of Emanuela's and a member of the Discalced Carmelite order.

I will also be present all day on Sunday 29. The exhibition will be open until 15 August during the convent's visiting hours.

If you can make it, I will be extremely happy to see you on the opening weekend!

Lots of exciting news these days ! I am all over the moon to announce that, in the frame of the Creativity and Innovation Days @ Webster Geneva Campus my exhibition 🌸 Unlike Flowers (an act of love) 🌸 will be on show for a month in Geneva !

The opening will take place:

The project I’m presenting is the result of a long-term personal exploration, begun in 2020, about the memory of my mother, Emanuela, who passed away when I was two years old, my investigations around it, and the nature of memory itself.

I am over the moon and deeply grateful for this news: my project ‘Unlike Flowers’ has been selected as a recipient of the Liquida Grants' ArtPhilein award
Thanks to .fragapane, , , .urso and for allowing me to make this project blossom into something concrete.

And I take this opportunity to thank all those who have accompanied it since its inception. for making it blossom, , .panetti, , , , .kessels, the team, and .arsenali.fotografici, for watering it and making it grow.

Above all, a huge thank you to .pennacchio, , and for your patience and your production support on this journey!

It will be ready in November... stay tuned!

Sono al settimo cielo, ed estremamente grato per questa news: Il mio progetto 'Unlike Flowers' è stato selezionato come destinatario del premio ArtPhilein dei Liquida Grant. Ora inizia la sfida di trasformarlo in un libro fotografico.

Last weekend to enjoy the exhibition ‘Nontiscordardimé / Forget-me-not’, which I curated, blending the work of talented Francisco Macfarlane with my own, about imagemaking as a tool for self-healing.

The exhibition is held at Il Meccanico, Verona, and has been realized as a collaboration between Experimental Photo Festival and Grenze - Arsenali Fotografici .arsenali.fotografici.

I have always been fascinated by juggling shows. Maybe it's my early exposure to theatre, my parents' work, or a personal predisposition. I don't know for sure.

What I do know for sure is that juggling shows with fire have always fascinated me, because they mix this passion I have had since childhood with the spectacle of light, which I discover every day thanks to photography.

So here is the result of yesterday evening at Lumina, the light festival in Saint-Maurice, Valais. Ongoing over the next two days. If you're in the area, don't miss it.

The second weekend of december is my favourite since I moved to Switzerland. In Geneva, they held the festival of the Escalade, a commemoration of the failed attempt by Duke Charles-Emmanuel I of Savoy to seize the city in 1602.

As such for three days, the citadel is populated by scenes of traditional life at the beginning of the XVII century, custume parades, horses and lantern. First commemored the year after the assault, it is probably one of the longest-lasting historical commemorations in Europe.

Two more days, and this edition will open, and I will be ready to capture it also this year.

Travelling sometimes also means making some mistakes. For example, choosing to visit Jordan during the second half of June.

With the temperatures soaring above 40 degrees, the only possibility to enjoy a bit of the time there is starting the exploration at 5am, and then enjoying long breaks in the shade between 11am and 4pm.

With this format I explored the stunning Nabatean Capital of Petra, UNESCO heritage site and one of the Seven Wonders of the New World. But sometimes, mistakes become an asset. This extreme weather allowed me to enjoy the place without it being overcrowded, while doing early-morning stroll in the huge sites, and meeting the locals, discovering that the site had been inhabited until 1985, and that estimates are that more than 80% of the city is still hidden below the desert…

I am really really grateful to have my project Unlike Flowers, featured on Lensculture.com , as a result of my participation in the PhEST “Being Human” Open Call (). Definitely different from my street and travel photography portfolio, but very important to me on such a deeper personal and emotional level.

The project is accompanied by the words of the brilliant artist and author Magali Duzant , whom I am really glad to have been able to meet (if you don't know her yet, go and have a look at her work).
