Sneak peak of K&C’s Love Story in the Alps

From a casual afternoon watching football on a Philadelphia doorstep, to fostering puppies in Austin, to singing with locals under the Milky Way in Madagascar... Jamie and Kacey’s love story has been a beautiful, spontaneous adventure.

When it came to choosing how to say their forever vows, a traditional wedding just didn’t fit. They wanted an intimate, intentional experience that was entirely their own. So, they traded the stress of a big wedding for the quiet majesty of the mountains, a peaceful lake, and a sunset that painted the sky just for them.

We spent the day doing what they do best: embracing the journey, hoping that the storm would’t break out. They hiked hand-in-hand through alpine trails, shared a private lakeside picnic with champagne, lit a fire and read letters from family and friends and watched the peaks glow in the golden hour light.
They exchanged their vows in total privacy—just the two of them, exactly as it was meant to be.
Jamie and Kacey, you bring out the absolute best in each other. Whether you’re relaxing in a whirlpool bath, if the storm is rolling in, or standing on top of the world in the Alps, your connection is undeniable.

Sneak peak from A&D’s luxory mountain elopement in the Alps!

From a first date at twelve years old, to paths that diverged, to a beautiful reconnection later in life—this day was proof that love always finds its way back home.

When these two decided to skip the traditional wedding stress, they wanted something completely unique. They envisioned a day that blended absolute luxury with the raw, untamed beauty of the mountains. And that is exactly what we created for them.

Imagine waking up in a historic, castle-like luxury hotel, stepping into a vintage Rolls-Royce, and spending the afternoon rowing across a pristine alpine lake (in a classic rowboat, just as they dreamed!).

We kept things beautifully leisurely—no strenuous climbs, just a gentle, scenic hike through wildflowers with snow-capped peaks framing the horizon. As the sun began to dip, they shared their vows at sunset, high above the world, bathed in the warmest golden light.

It was the perfect reflection of their relationship: grounded, peaceful, and quietly spectacular. Proof that your elopement doesn’t have to be a rugged backcountry trek to be a wild adventure; it just has to be undeniably you.

”The original plan? A helicopter tour to a glacier, champagne, trottibikes, a mountain-top ceremony, and stargazing under the Milky Way.
Mother Nature’s plan? Rain, thick clouds, and unseasonal snow dipping low into the valley. 🌧️❄️

When you plan a destination elopement in the Swiss Alps in May, the mountains always have the final say. But here is the secret to an unforgettable wedding day: it’s not about the weather. It’s about the person holding your hand and the people you celebrate with.

When the storm rolled in A&C didn’t skip a beat. Instead of plan A, we embraced the mood and explored the dramatic, misty depth of the glacier gorges on day one, followed by a cozy dinner with their closest family.

By the second morning, the weather was still a guessing game, and snow was blocking our path. So, we pivoted. We changed the ceremony location, ripped up the timeline, replanned on the fly... and honestly? It turned out to be the most magical, breathtaking day we could have ever dreamed up.

Z&J ‘ s slideshow of their magical Swiss October elopement!

October is if you ask me the most magical month to elope in Switzerland. 🍂✨
Ok, some places are already closed for the season so everything may not be possible. And yes, you need to be ready for moody weather and even perhaps a little first snow. Buuuut….
Here’s why autumn elopements in the Swiss Alps are so special:
- The larch forests turn a stunning golden yellow — the mix with turqoise mountain lakes and white peaks in the back ground is just magical.
- First snow on the peaks = epic contrast and dreamy photos
- ⁠The month with the highest chances of misty mornings and cloud inversion (like this one)
- Fewer crowds means more intimate, relaxed moments
- Crisp air and Soft golden light lasts longer

Whether you’re picturing Wallis, the Bernese Oberland, Graubünden, or a hidden valley nobody’s heard of — a Switzerland elopement in October is it.

L&S’s October elopement as slide show! ❤️

Let’s talk about October elopements in the Alps! IMO it’s the prettiest month by far.

October is an amazing choice for a Swiss mountain elopement! It’s that perfect ”sweet spot” where you get vibrant autumn colours and peace and quiet before the ski crowds arrive.
Here’s the straight talk on what to expect:
The Vibe: Think golden larch trees, crisp air, and the first dusting of snow on the peaks. It’s very romantic and looks incredible in photos because the sun sits lower, giving you soft, ”golden hour” light all day.
The Weather: It can definitely get chilly. You’re looking at around 5–15°C (40–60°F) in the valleys, but it can drop below freezing at the summits. You’ll want layers and a stylish coat or a warm wrap and even more at night. Be prepared for snow.

Top Spots October elopements:

Zermatt: For that iconic Matterhorn backdrop.

The Engadin Valley: Famous for having the best golden forests in the country.

Vallis- orange valleys and turquoise lakes…

Dolomites & Chamonix!

And a couple of my hidden gems that I will tell you when you book. 🙃

A Heads Up: Late October is ”shoulder season.” This means some cable cars and mountain hotels might close for a quick break before winter.

April elopements can be really tricky, but when done fully you can get both the winter snow and the spring flowers all in a 2 day plan! You just combine high and low altitude locations and you get it all.
