A nice little Maps.Me find. Marked as "Bat Cave" not far from the Pink Beach I was visiting on the furthest NE point of the Island of Sumbawa, Indonesia. Intrigued & with my hired scooter I went off on a days adventure.
In the mouth of the lime stone cave was this colony of Lesser Short-Nosed Fruit Bats roosting along with the massively over powering ammonia like stench from the bats.
These bats look so cool with their sharp suit pin strip lines, but so bad and unexpected was the smell I only took a few shots.

A crocodile at the Semenggoh Nature Reserve stairs me down. Semenggoh Nature Reserve is near Kuching, Borneo and is famous for its twice daily feeding of semi wild Orangutans.

Trying to be as scary as it can! The hairy and scary looking Gypsy Moth Caterpillar. They certainly scream dont touch, which is of course their aim. Thankfully they move slowly.

It has certainly been a year for facepalming. 🤦🏽

This time I know this is a Red Eared Slider Turtle (I think 🤔) trying to plant a facepalm but it doesnt have the dexterity.
Side note - researching for the above comment I found out the Red Eared Slider Turtle is on the list of the Worlds 100 most invasive species! Not so cute now hey! Mainly because its the worlds most commonly traded turtle and irresponsible people realease them in to wild all over the world.

Whizzing through the island of Lombok, Indonesia on my hired scooter I passed this emerging scene and i remembering think "oh that looked cool!" ⁠
It then took a few more moments for me to think "oh I should take a photo." I am glad I turned around. 😁 ⁠
