A trip ends, but a friendship continues🤪

Even more if it was a friendship build in adventure, on a 120kmh wind-snow 🌪💨🌨storm in the northernmost arctic place on Europe🌍🇳🇴with -15C🥶. If we survived that together, will find the way to reunite for further adventures.

It was great to meet again Martin .ch and now in a decent Summer Storm while biking 🚵🏻‍♂️in Visperterminen 🇨🇭

Regeneration Expedition termina acá…por lo menos por varios años más. La Pandemia nos obligo a renunciar a nuestro plan y hizo pensar que lo mejor era volver al mundo laboral. El mundo sufrirá años de crisis económicas y se vienen tiempos difíciles. Por ello no sentimos que estar de “trotamundos” en la casa de los suegros en un colchon inflable por meses fuera una buena alternativa. Si nuestras familias necesitan apoyo, nosotros sentimos que debemos ser independientes y tener la capacidad de apoyarlos. Ergo…vuelta al trabajo. Ya habrán momentos donde podamos nuevamente emprender el vuelo.

A pesar de todo, los objetivos de RE-CORRER, RE-THINK, RE-CREATE fueron cumplidos en 100% con el viaje a Escandinavia e Indonesia con nuestro proyecto NGO Trash Waste Solutions. Por ello, no quedamos con ningún sentimiento, que el acortar los planes, nos haya obligado a incumplir nuestros objetivos.

Asi es que felices de dar un giro en 180 grados y seguir adelante en una nueva etapa.

Gracias Suiza por aceptarnos nuevamente con tanta alegría y simpatía. Definitivamente el sentimiento de volver es tremendamente reconfortante al sentir tanto cariño de parte de la gente que reconoce vernos de vuelta.

Due to Corona Virus and all the travel restrictions, our travel to Canada -> Chile is not possible at the moment. Therefore our plan is now in stand-by and we are observing the situation.

For the moment, we are using our time to enjoy family, do some sport and work from home for our NGO Trash-Waste-Solutions and the Project in Indonesia, work for other projects in southamerica related to Waste Management, read and learn new things.

Due to the current circumstances and advice from all sides, we decided to jump on the last flight home via Singapore and thus leaving our on-site project in Manado earlier than planned.
Unfortunately we didn’t even have the time for a proper goodbye and everything happened too quickly. So we want to use the opportunity to thank all the amazing people we met during these incredible 2,5 months of our pre-project phase. We are sure that we can achieve great things together. At the moment we just know, that we will not abandon the project anytime soon even though times are difficult!

A big thanks to all the staff from Celebes Divers who supported us with all they could and with good mood, in spite of the difficult times ahead.
Thank you to our team from Trash Waste Solutions for helping from the distance. What a great team who we can always count on!

Also to the people from Singapore Airlines and the airports who did an amazing job to get everyone safe home!

Thank you to Siladen Resort, it is so good to know that you are there if we need you!

We are very happy, but also sad to be home! Please stay all safe and healthy!
We hope to see you all soon!

Enjoying a beautiful day in North Sulawesi. and his friends were so friendly to show us the best of the Minahasa Highlands, and in 1 day we hiked up the Lokon and Mahawu 🌋, explored a tropical and had an adventurous down to a tropical . You really have an exceptional here in Indonesia, please take care of it 💚

Meeting great people on the way! Thank you guys, you rock!

Manengkel always welcomes new collaborators to help us fight for our environment. This week, we got to meet a new partner NGO: Trash Waste Solutions.

Fellow divers and nature lovers, Natalie and Johann started out as a small group of divers and finally established their NGO in Switzerland last year.
Their goal is not only to enable everyone to make the most of a clean, breathtaking underwater world, but also to prevent waste from flowing into our environment and damaging it even more.

We had a very interesting time talking about the environmental situation in Sulawesi and brainstormed about ways in which we could join our forces to reach an even higher impact.

It’s always great to find new people to collaborate with. We stand TOGETHER for coastal and marine conservation!

What an paradisiac place we got to know: on Bangka Island is a dream come true. Surrounded by the most , we enjoyed diving in the , paddling through the and seeing fields of . As a marine center, scientists from all over the world come here to study the life beneath the sea. Probably the best place to put knowledge into action to and this unique place.
We hope to be back!

Soon our regeneration expedition to the Panamerican Road is going to start. Here some preparations already ongoing. The stickers from the last trip to England, Scotland, Norway, Finnland, Estonia, Lithuania, Letonia, Polonia are already in place.

We are already dreaming about the next Etappe of this great adventure!!!

Lets now go south!
