It’s so hard to explain how sad it is to walk through the Van Gogh Museum to see a man’s work. No, a great man’s work is reduced to nothing more than a sight to see on your way through, and turned into toys and trinkets to be thrown away when the excitement of a new thing is no longer there. I feel like people look at his art, and that’s all they see. They don’t see the man behind the man who feels so much that it hurts, a man that doesn’t have the words to express how much even a lowly farmer means to him and is shamed for not being able to do so.
