Bern gets treated like a stopover and i don’t get it!!

The old town is unesco listed, the fountains are 500 years old and nobody has moved them out of the way for traffic.

So the tram just goes around them like it’s normal.

Zytglogge at one end, the Aare at the other, arcades the whole way through so it works even when it rains.

Do it as a day trip from zurich, 1 hour by train.

The brienz rothornbahn has been climbing this mountain since 1892. Steam engine, wooden carriages, and lake brienz turning that unreal shade of blue the whole way up
one hour from brienz to the top of the rothorn.
