Request for Humanitarian Support - Calling on more Global Partners
BBC News CNN Sky News 20 Minuten The South African Carte Blanche Life for Relief and Development Primedia DZ 947 702 News24
My name is Chantelle Flores, an Internationally recognised Humanaterian, with a global stronghold.
Whilst I don’t have my own registered Non-Government Organization(NGO), I operate on an individual level in my personal capacity through my long-standing project called Holding onto Humanity a project I founded after an extensive period heading up globally as a community leader in Rotary International and Rotaract
I have previously worked closely with some of the world’s best organisations throughout my 24-year Humanterian career. It was during this time and through the facilitation of many humanitarian projects that I gained the confidence, trust and support of many of these organisations.
As you are aware, the ongoing current war situation between and Russia has been one of the biggest humanitarian crises we have had to face since World War II.
Many active NGOs do not have the resources nor the infrastructure to manage this on such a global level.
It is during unmanageable crisis times, that I find myself being called upon by NGOs far and wide for my expertise in facilitating and implementing immediate solutions. Giving them an opportunity to internally prepare their systems and set up the necessary refugee camps. My ability to immediately predict and foresee possible outcomes and take actions quickly is my most sought after quality.
My role in global crisis facilitation
Within the first hour of the war, I called on solidarity in the tourism industry across every tourism network and platform I sit on. Having travelled and worked in 71 countries, I have a strong support network through my tourism partners in every one of these countries. I called on each partner and issued support requests as the first missile was fired.
One such request was through Airbnb and Booking.com to avail all empty properties for the placement of refugees. In a matter of days, Airbnb responded to my request and availed these properties. Since I am a fast thinker and actioner, I have the ability to address other very devastating realities such as Human trafficking and implement solutions of safe placements to address these harsh realities.
I further put pressure on all other tourism partners to help facilitate, and we saw incredible results. Couch Surfing was offering us their networks of accommodation, FlixBus, Panek CarSharing and Uber were facilitating transportation and stationed at the border. Our train partners offered free travel to all cities in Poland.
In a critical time like this, the tourism industry holds all the consolidated resources needed to manage such a crisis. All the way from Accommodation, transport, embassy support and access to immigration lawyers. We have access to resources no one NGO has. And a global team play effort unfolded attributing to the success.
It was through the tourism industry that we managed to implement within a 24 hour period support networks in nearly every country with support from our shared tourism resources. Two such important resources were Host A Sister 🌎 and Girls LOVE Travel®, both supporting global solidarity for solo women travellers. Vital resources were needed for immediate relief. It is through these networks that we managed to place the most vulnerable (women and children) safely in the hands of other women. Within a few short hours, we homed 7000 refugees on the first day.
We rolled out campaigns on Intuition versus Desperation, in an effort to educate refugees on the risks that could unfold in their situation.
These above-mentioned platforms (as well as many others) allowed me to tap into more networks and call on further support for tourism resources to be placed into one bucket. We saw incredible results standing in solidarity. Other Tourism partners soon followed.
I created a temporary refugee guidebook that was in mass-circulation worldwide. On the first day, it reached over 3.5 million people through my tourism networks. The idea of the guidebook was to give refugees fleeing opportunities to help themselves. Providing them with enough of the most relevant, up to date information and wide access to verified support networks. The result of this provided immediate relief and was fueled by the right to truthful information, keeping them well informed.
Here is the guide in circulation.

We have since implemented a more professional support system and teamed up with global partners who personally reached out to me for assistance in the collection of information and circulating of these two platforms: www.standwithukraine.app and www.eu4ua.org. We have since been directing refugees here and continuously supplying information.
Once all these systems were running and refugees could safely be placed through the redirection of support groups globally, my support role shifted.
To simplify my global role. I connect those in need to those that can safely provide it.
My focus then became on addressing issues like other nationalities being denied entry into neighbouring countries. We set up volunteer immigration experts and lawyers to help facilitate this process. The Latvian Association of Psychiatry personally reached out to me and offered their entire database in support of addressing the emotional and devastating efforts of this war. It proved to be yet another vital resource.
Once the NGOs had set up the refugee camps along the borders, my focus shifted to moving refugees through these camps as an immediate relief effort. From here we placed them in Poland or other neighbouring countries on a temporary placement of 1 to 2 nights and focused on finding more long term solutions. We slowly started moving them on to other countries in Europe for more long term placements. Taking the relief off Poland was an essential part of the process, freeing up resources for the next set of refugees.
I started helping facilitate information in worldwide asylum programs and began looking into these, with access to government information. We draw on this to help with placements in existing asylum programs, and challenge governments worldwide to open their borders and increase their support in these such programs. We are seeing incredible support so far and are expecting more support in this area.
Following these requests, we received ones of adoptions of Ukrainian babies, which we needed to start considering. We have all sorts of critical issues, arising by the minute to address that we weren’t prepared for.
I facilitated the implementation of many support structures in many countries and throughout many NGOs. I called on NGOs to share resources globally, to put them into one bucket with ONE global mission. STRONGER TOGETHER. A mission statement I draw from my work in . I have seen the success, longevity and sustainability of shared resources, and took a strong stand globally. Calling on each individual partner to stand with us in solidarity. I was overwhelmed by the support in all corners of the world. Daily, in my personal capacity, I have been called upon by other long-standing NGOs and new ones alike, to assist them with the facilitation of this. 4 of Switzerland’s NGOs called me in to support them. I have assisted in bringing order to the chaos and developing systems that run smoother for the long term.
There has been no challenge I haven't been able to find solutions for, nor has there been one support request I haven't been able to assist with in the past two weeks. My years-long humanitarian projects have provided me with the skills needed and the resources to provide solutions throughout the many different industries I work in.
My support has extended to the placement of volunteer-based doctors and nurses worldwide, with a specific mention of Switzerland based medical professionals through organisations such as Doctors without Borders www.doctorswithoutborders.org and the emergency hospital of Samaritans Purse www.die-samariter.org currently being set up inside Ukraine.
New situations arise daily, that require immediate action.
My current focus at the moment is providing a wealth of support to the Ukrainian men who were not able to flee, forced to become soldiers, fighting a war under Martial Law. THEY HAVE BEEN FORGOTTEN. A law that exists in every country. I am challenging a world on the harsh reality that this could be their situation at any given moment. Under the same pretence. Drawing on the importance of why we need to shift our focus. Facing the harsh realities of their situation. These are the fathers and brothers of every single refugee receiving their support.
I am working on the ground with them and personally receiving phone calls begging for my assistance. I understand deeply their desperation for global support. These are civilians who have become soldiers overnight and don't have access to military resources like a military person would.
They are in dire need of the most basic supply of military resources. Uniforms. Helmets. Two-way radios. Military socks. Military boots. Wound packing kits. Head and chest bandages. Canned Food. And normal bandages. These all form part of the HIGH priority list. We have assessed deeply from the ground immediate needs and prioritised this list purely on what can SAVE A LIFE and avoid unnecessary death. A real situation we need to consider.
During my support requests for such items (which in my STRONG opinion are the most basic of all requests), I received an incredible amount of backlash. Most came from my use of the word “Soldier”. This reaction is purely from a POLITICAL standpoint, and I am deeply troubled by this. This is the biggest Hummanterian crisis since World War 2. There is NO TIME FOR POLITICS, and this is not a time for this. This is a fight for HUMANITY.
A STRONG FIGHT I WILL GLADLY TAKE ON.
What the world so narrow-mindedly doesn't understand is these are civilians (just like every single one of us) who became a solider overnight AGAINST their will. They DID NOT have a choice. To put it in simple terms. A soldier chooses a military profession, and there is a vast difference. A soldier chose to be put on the bloodline. They did not.
WE NEED TO LOOK AFTER THEM. And I can’t stress this enough. They are the ones who will ultimately put a stop to this war. And bring order back to the world. For most of these requests, we cannot get donations directly by the direct public. As a result, I have been drawing on and calling support of these military protective gear manufacturers. It is very important to give them exactly what they need, and carefully consider the severity and importance of this need. We cannot irresponsibly source incorrect things and supply things that would ultimately not serve them any purpose.
I was called into the Embassy of Ukraine to the Republic of South Africa to provide support. We met on the basis of providing refugee aid and refugee placement support. I requested to speak to the Defence attendee and told him where in his country his male civilians are receiving the least support and where there is the biggest need for military protective gear. I was awarded Ambassadorship which would extend Internationally. They have a great appreciation of my in-depth understanding from the ground up. Skills developed from my journalist background.
Prior to my Embassy involvement, I was working closely with a military team in Poland, whom one of my NGO’s partners Lexi referred to me. After consultation, carefully vetting them, and getting the green light after running identity checks, I understood their needs more in-depth and actioned their requests.
I received an incredible amount of anonymous and known donations driven by this need. I greatly appreciate my global support throughout the facilitation of this. Whilst we received a generous amount of these supplies in we need a constant supply in order to see it to the end of this war. This process is being facilitated by Vasyl Goliarchuk, directly in .
In addition and in support of the Polish Presidents' wife who assisted in the set up of two very important drop off locations for our land bassed truck donations, we could ensure green corridor access into Ukraine. I am also working very closely with military partners in Switzerland who can provide assurance of military aircraft support out of under the facilitation of Dmitry Golubev .
We will soon be directing certain donations through there
I have since connected three countries' worth of military expertise in my personal capacity that is assisting with the facilitation of these processes.
We have established the routes and passages for safe transportation into Ukraine. In order to prioritise our resources and ensure they be allocated accordingly, it is vital to establish crisis “rules” based on need. I put in requests for refugee aid to be sent to Europe via land travel (which can take up to 22hours), and military support (based on the list provided below) be sent via military air support.
I am calling on all global partners, NGOs, and Governments alike to please take a stand with me on this, and avail access to more resources we are running out of in Europe.
This is a very big reality we are currently facing, and the time has come to call on those leaders In the United Kingdom, and beyond Europe's borders. To take a stand in our global fight for Humanity.
Today, I have carefully assessed every situation and addressed every need from the ground up. Both in Ukraine and Poland.
I have listed in order of priority, support requests driven by the current immediate needs in order to better provide relief. Either physical donations of such be sent directly to our facilities which Vasyl is facilitating or through our Geneva, Switzerland hub which Dmitry is vaciliting.

Support for Poland
Poland has carried the weight of this war which the world should be very grateful for. And we can only hope that if we find ourselves in the same situation as Ukraine, our neighbouring countries open their hearts and doors to us. Harsh realities we need to face.
They are in need of immediate support. Very soon, we will face another Humanitarian crisis like this country’s resources will soon be exhausted and this is fast approaching. They need global assistance in moving refugees into other countries for immediate relief. Support structures need to be put in place worldwide.
Upon writing this and carefully assessing with my team on immediate needs and the final consolidation of this list this evening, it was brought to my attention the number of people sleeping in Poland's train stations with no access to resources. Poland has a limited supply of beds, just for example. This limited support in their need facilitation is also being overseen and will have devastating long term effects on Poland. Equally, they need help.
After this was brought to my attention I reached out to my NGOs operating out of Poland to better assess what is happening on the ground. News articles had been published one hour before activists called on support. My partners immediately went to access the situations at the train stations. It is grave. We need to act and we need to act soon. We still have a number of people currently getting evacuated out of Ukraine. Poland can no longer take this weight.
The time has come to put all politics aside by LEADERS of the world, and time they Lead with the ONE SINGLE shared humanitarian goal. If there is one war we are fighting it should be one that supports HUMANITY.
After two weeks 24.7 of being knee-deep in the biggest crisis mission I have ever been called on to do, I cant stand back anymore and watch this. Differences need to be put aside temporarily we have bigger issues at play.
Russian passport holders' concerns
In the last three days, we have faced one of the biggest challenges with Russian passport holders. Russians living in Ukraine, who are trying to flee the war, are being denied entry into neighbouring countries. Those that have managed to get through no one will provide them homes, because they now carry a label, and suffer the consequences as a result of the aftermath.
What I want to make known, is that I understand the grave room for concern. And equally, so it should be considering the situation. However, these are still people. And those fleeing Ukraine deserve equal rights, after careful vetting. However, should not be denied rights entirely.
With Visa and MasterCard freezing all Russian account holders worldwide, it's a matter of time before innocent people will not have access to food. Whilst I understand this, I am also very concerned. This will be an entirely different humanitarian crisis as a consequence of current events. We cannot be narrow-minded and unjust. Like everything we have good and bad, and we need to carefully consider both the bad and the innocent in equal proportion. Where there is good, equally there is bad. We have seen it throughout this crisis facilitation on many many levels.
I have to make it known that I am not in support of this war, but rather in support of Humanity. Human beings collectively. All variables need to be considered.
For an immediate solution, I understand the need to prevent any Russian passport holder rights. But this is not a long term solution. We need to start considering implementing systems that will allow us to vet all Russian nationals carefully and fairly without discrimination. Solid systems that can help facilitate this much-needed vetting process. It is devastating and taxing on all NGOs assisting in the placement of these refugees to not be in a position to provide help. We don't know what to do in this situation or have the means to offer solutions and we need guidance that is driven non politically and from a humanitarian perspective.
