Who knew Türkiye had a side like this? 🇹🇷🌿
Forget the turquoise beaches and the streets of Istanbul for a moment — Türkiye’s Black Sea region feels like stepping into another country entirely. 🌿⛰️
From the dramatic mountains around Trabzon to the endless tea-covered hills of Rize, the landscapes here are incredibly green, wild and surprisingly untouched.
One of the first stops has to be Sumela Monastery, perched dramatically on the cliffs above the forest. Then comes Rize, where endless tea gardens stretch across the hillsides and seem to disappear into the mountains. 🍃☕️
Further east, the scenery only gets better. Pokut Plateau looks straight out of a fairytale, while Mencuna Waterfall is tucked away in the lush forests of Artvin. 💚💦
And if you want to go even further off the beaten path, Şavşat Lake and Danzot are the kind of places that make you wonder how they’re not talked about more. 🏔️✨
After days surrounded by mountains, forests and tiny villages, arriving in Istanbul feels like the perfect ending — from some of Türkiye’s most remote landscapes to one of its most energetic cities. 🌆🇹🇷
Türkiye has so many different faces, but its Black Sea coast might be one of the most unexpected. 🇹🇷💚
