Save this hike for your Washington road trip 👀

Sol Duc Falls is a powerful and picturesque waterfall located in the Sol Duc Valley. The falls split into multiple streams as they cascade down into a narrow canyon, creating a breathtaking scene.

🥾 A 1.6-mile round trip hike from the Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort parking area will take you to the falls. The trail is well-maintained and suitable for most fitness levels! As it’s so easily accessible be prepared that there will be quite a lot of people, so I would suggest go early in the morning or late afternoon. We went just before sunset and got these gorgeous sun rays 🥹

Chain Lakes Loop Trail is a stunning 7-mile loop trail that winds through the alpine terrain, offering incredible views of Mt. Baker and Mt. Shuksan. You’ll pass by several beautiful lakes, including Mazama Lake, Iceberg Lake, and Hayes Lake. In late summer, the meadows bloom with vibrant wildflowers, adding a splash of color to the landscape.

🥾 Difficulty: Moderate, with some elevation gain.
