Cameroonian celebrated environmental and climate change expert, Dr. Richard Munang takes office as Head of the Global Environment Monitoring Systems on November 1, 2023. He was recently appointed by the UNEP after serving as the African Climate Change Coordinator and later Deputy Regional Director and now a global change-maker. The prestigious post came days after Cameroon's Prime Minister, Head of Government, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute met congratulated the Nottingham Alumni for his "Your Nottingham Alumni Award 2023". The award-winning Thought Leader holds a PhD in Environmental Change and Policy in Uk and an Executive Certificate in Climate Change and Energy from Harvard
