A Gaussian Splat—or a textured mesh? Look closer.

This architectural model was generated from scan data in SHARE PointClouds Studio. The upcoming Mesh Modeling feature connects scanning data with textured mesh generation, realistic visual references, and flexible export options in one workflow—without requiring separate third-party meshing software.

Mesh Modeling is coming this September.

Need to transform a point cloud into a known project coordinate reference?

The new Coordinate Transformation feature in SHARE PointClouds Studio V2.6 uses known control points to calculate translation, rotation, and scale parameters for point cloud transformation.

This tutorial covers the complete workflow: import the point cloud and control-point CSV file, select the matching locations, calculate the parameters, preview the transformed result, and save the output.

The resulting point cloud can provide a more consistent spatial reference for site review, documentation, measurement, and downstream project workflows.

At Jinan Qingtong Mountain Scenic Area, the SHARE SLAM S100 was used to capture selected cultural displays, rock-formed spaces, wishing areas, sculptures, and flower landscapes.

In this on-site test, the SHARE SLAM S20 was used to capture an irregular staircase inside an active construction environment. By moving around and beneath the structure, the operator recorded the complete staircase—including its curved form, steps, corners, and handrails—as 3D spatial data.

The resulting Point Cloud Model can support dimension review, renovation planning, construction documentation, and later modeling with a clearer reference to existing site conditions.

How do you capture a large stadium with multi-level seating and distant roof structures as one connected spatial dataset?

At a stadium in Guangzhou, one technician walked through the venue with the SHARE SLAM S100, continuously capturing high-density 3D data from the stands to the roof structure.

The resulting point cloud can be viewed, measured, and reviewed, providing a practical reference for facility maintenance, renovation records, and BIM workflows.

For this real-site test, the customer used SHARE SLAM S20 to capture the staircase and create a 3D Point Cloud. The resulting spatial data provides a practical reference for reviewing the geometry, coordinating fabrication, and preparing for installation.

In the customer’s experience, traditional measurement could take at least two people half a day or longer, while still leaving room for inconsistent data. A scan-based workflow helps the team review the site from one unified spatial dataset.
