Officially Day 1 of Sziget, Wolf Alice is up first but first we are just chilling by the van today, James and Emily have joined us so the gang is back together!!

Sziget day 0 because a 5 day festival wasn’t long enough already.. we got move in tickets so we’re here a day early 😅

We’ve got our van set up and ready for some music tonight! 🚐

Day 19 👇🏻

We started the day with a very sweaty run, cooled off, and headed into Frankfurt with no real expectations…

Everyone was out relaxing along the river with a drink in hand, listening to good music, great food and an atmosphere that just felt effortlessly fun, the vibes were unreal ✨

& then we party crashed FAM, a Friday after-work street party right in the middle of Frankfurt’s financial district 💼

People dancing outside the office buildings, DJs playing, everyone enjoying the sunshine… it was such a cool reminder that this city is about much more than banking and skyscrapers 🏙️

We came for a day in Frankfurt and left with a new favourite song… Shadow of Love 🎶✨

Day 18 | Part 2 👇🏻

After spending the morning in Cochem, we were supposed to head straight to Frankfurt… but when we found some pictures and videos of a little town called Idstein we knew we had to stop 👀

Safe to say, it was worth it ✨

Full of colourful timber-framed houses, cobbled streets and so much character 🏠 We ended up slowing things down, staying beside a forest just outside town, and saving Frankfurt for tomorrow 🚐

Germany’s Autobahn is famous for one reason… speed 💨🇩🇪

But it’s also one of the best-maintained motorway networks in Europe, and yes, if a faster car appears behind you, it’s time to move over 😅

Fun fact: The Autobahn is Germany’s motorway network, and around 70% of it has no permanent speed limit. But in saying that, it’s not a free-for-all. The Government recommended speed is 130 km/h… although judging by some of the cars flying past us, not everyone got the memo 👀😂

Van job time 🚐

Fresh water in ✔️
Dirty water out ✔️
Toilet emptied ✔️

Not the most exciting part of van life, but it makes life on the road a whole lot easier

We’ve found most of our water points and service areas through & it’s been the holy grail to van life so far

Now onto the fun part 👉🏻

A morning spent exploring the very cute, very quaint town of Cochem 🇩🇪

The castle, the river, the funny man playing a cool instrument and vineyards around every corner. What a beautiful part of the German countryside 🌱 🌿🌳

After a little paddle to cool ourselves down we hit the road to our new favourite Germany town, Cochem! Now today was a CHILL DAY so we only drove around the town and it looks so cute, instead we found a spot to overlook Cochem, admire the castle and enjoy a German beer with a Pad Thai, what a combo!

Day 17 and the German heat wave is kicking our butts so we took to the water 💦

We got the paddle boards out for spin down the Moselle River, surrounded by vineyards & getting an odd but surprisingly tasty potato lunch before taking on the rest of the day
