Managed to just catch the last day of Ryoji Ikeda's art exhibition/installation at the 'Tank Shanghai' art space, part of the 12th Shanghai Biennale this weekend. Hope I have managed to recreate in my own way the immersive experience intended, if only through visual means.
这周末冒着雨刚刚赶上了这位艺术家展览的最后一天，也并不失望。他叫池田亮司 Ryoji Ikeda。展览的解释说他的目的是通过试验给大家展示数据怎么融入到我们现实生活中。这次试验是沉浸式的 - 我很喜欢屏幕和音响的结合，尤其是在这种特殊的环境里（@上海油罐艺术中心）。我希望通过我摄影风格能用另一个方式展示这种沉浸式的感觉，虽然只是视觉上的感觉。

Big data immersion. Managed to catch the last day of Ryoji Ikeda's art installation in Shanghai this weekend. Hope the images I've shot do some justice to the immersive experience he was looking to create. More tomorrow.
这周末冒着雨刚刚赶上了这位艺术家展览的最后一天，也并不失望。他叫池田亮司 Ryoji Ikeda。展览的解释说他的目的是通过试验给大家展示数据怎么融入到我们现实生活中。这次试验是沉浸式的 - 我很喜欢屏幕和音响的结合，尤其是在这种特殊的环境里（@上海油罐艺术中心）。我希望通过我摄影风格能用另一个方式展示这种沉浸式的感觉，虽然只是视觉上的感觉。

Spherethereal. Shot in the National Arts Centre, Tokyo. I was always influenced by sci-fi when growing up and loved the fractal posters of the 80s. Love having a chance to do some myself now :)

Spherethereal. Shot at the National Arts Centre in Tokyo. Sci-Fi had a great influence on me growing up and I also used to love the fractal posters that were all the rage in the 80s. Love being able to create my own now with my little Nikon :)
No PS - this is the photo direct from my camera. Effect achieved by lots of experiments with moving lens and camera.
