Chris y Juan viven en Bogotá, pero decidieron casarse en Medellín y traer a toda su gente para celebrar con ellos. Ellos frente a una cámara: felices y eso se notaba.
Desde el principio vi que disfrutaban las fotos: posar, probar cosas, moverse, cambiar de escenario… y yo, feliz de tener una pareja tan entregada.
Y esto me lleva a algo que me preguntan mucho: “¿Por qué veo estilos tan diferentes en tus fotos?”
La respuesta es sencilla: porque cada pareja es diferente.
Hay novios que no quieren posar y prefieren candid photos, momentos espontáneos y que todo pase naturalmente.
Y hay otros, como ellos, que disfrutan estar frente a la cámara, posar y crear imágenes más editoriales.
Y ahí está la gracia: no quiero que todas mis parejas se vean iguales. Quiero que digan: sí, estas fotos somos nosotros.
Cris and Juan live in Bogotá, but chose Medellín for their wedding and brought everyone along to celebrate.
They loved being in front of the camera: posing, trying things, moving and changing locations.
And it reminded me of something I’m asked a lot: “Why do your photos look so different from one wedding to another?”
Simple: every couple is different.
Some want everything natural and candid. Others, like Cris and Juan, love posing and creating more editorial images.
And that’s what I love. I don’t want my couples to look the same. I want them to say: yes, these are so us.

Lo de Eli y Edouart fue muy ellos.
Una boda íntima, rodeados de sus personas favoritas, y una fiesta que terminó como tenía que terminar: todos bailando.
Me encantó fotografiar esa mezcla de momentos tranquilos con otros completamente espontáneos: abrazos, risas, movimiento, fotos borrosas, blanco y negro que al novio le encanta y mucha gente disfrutando de verdad.
Y creo que eso es lo que más me gusta de las bodas: guardar recuerdos de un día que realmente pasó.
Eli y Edouart, gracias por dejarme contar el suyo.
Eli and Edouart’s wedding felt so much like them.
An intimate celebration surrounded by their favorite people, and a party that ended exactly as it should: everyone dancing.
I loved photographing that mix of quiet moments and completely spontaneous ones: hugs, laughter, movement, blurry frames, black and white, which the groom absolutely loves, and people genuinely enjoying themselves.
And I think that’s what I love most about weddings: keeping memories of a day that actually happened.

Si hay un lugar en Colombia que podría ser perfectamente como la peli de Encanto, para mí es Cauca Viejo Antioquia. Sus calles, sus colores, sus montañas... fue el escenario perfecto para Cata y César, unos novios de película.
Pero hay algo que me quedó aún más en el corazón de este día. Cata me dijo varias veces que yo había sido su ángel, que le transmití paz y tranquilidad en un día tan importante para ella. Y de verdad, escuchar algo así significa muchísimo para mí. Porque más allá de hacer fotografía de bodas y contar historias con mi lente, siempre quiero que mis novias sientan que tienen a alguien de su lado, que las acompaña, las calma y está ahí para cuidar cada momento.
Gracias, Cata, por tus palabras. Las aprecio demasiado y me voy feliz de haber sido parte de este capítulo tan bonito, les deseo lo mejor, lo merecen.
If there’s one place in Colombia that feels like it could have come straight out of Disney’s Encanto, for me, it’s Cauca Viejo Antioquia. Its streets, colors, and mountains... it was the perfect setting for Cata and César, a truly movie-worthy couple.
But there’s something else from this day that stayed even closer to my heart. Cata told me several times that I had been her angel, that I brought her peace and calm on such an important day. And honestly, hearing something like that means so much to me.
Because beyond photographing weddings and telling stories through my lens, I always want my brides to feel like they have someone by their side: someone who supports them, calms them, and is there to take care of every moment.
Thank you, Cata, for your words. I appreciate them more than you know, and I’m so happy I got to be part of this beautiful chapter of your story. I wish you both nothing but the best. You truly deserve it.

Hay algo muy bonito que pasa cuando una pareja vuelve a casarse después de 18 años.
Ya no llegan imaginando cómo será la vida juntos.
Llegan sabiendo todo lo que fueron capaces de construir.
Llegan con los días fáciles y los difíciles. Con tres hijos, con sueños cumplidos, otros reinventados y la tranquilidad de saber que el amor no se sostiene solo en los momentos extraordinarios, sino, sobre todo, en los días más normales.
Antes de este día, Malala me dijo algo que definió por completo la forma en que quería recordar esta historia:
“En nuestra primera boda las fotos fueron más posadas. Esta vez quiero estar relajada y que se note la felicidad real del momento.”
Y creo que eso fue exactamente lo que pasó.
There’s something incredibly beautiful about a couple choosing to get married again after 18 years.
They’re no longer wondering what life together will be like.
They already know what they’ve built.
They arrive carrying both the joyful days and the difficult ones. Three children. Dreams they achieved, others they had to reshape, and the quiet certainty that love isn’t sustained by extraordinary moments alone, but even more by the ordinary ones.
Before this day, Malala told me something that completely shaped the way she wanted these memories to feel:
“Our first wedding photos felt much more posed. This time, I want to feel relaxed and let the photos show the genuine happiness of the moment.”
And I truly believe that’s exactly what happened.
