Okay... In regards to yesterday's post. I was able to find a decent photo of the Purple-throated Woodstar ♂️ showing its purple throat aka "gorget". This happens when the sunlight hits it at the right angle. 🟣 🇪🇨

Bringing it back to Ecuador today. Today it's all about the Purple-throated Woodstar. I have a few not so good photos of the purple showing on the male's throat. The one on this post was my favorite, but the light didn't catch the color of the throat like I'd hoped for. Oh well! That's how it goes! If I find one later, I'll add to another post. In the meantime, enjoy this small, beautiful hummingbird! Theses little hummingbirds fly like bumblebees! Might be the easiest hummingbird to catch in flight! I didn't find them perched often in the open, so most of my shots are flight shots. 🇪🇨

I had the pleasure of partnering up with The Trustees for their birds of the Trustees series, to photograph the birds of World's End in Hingham, Ma. This assignment was special because it's my favorite Trustees location! I was there from 8:40am to 6:40pm! That's how much I like this location! If you haven't been, I highly recommend it!

World's End offers stunning scenery and excellent birding opportunities! With rolling drumlin hills, coastal woodlands, salt marshes, and panoramic views of Boston Harbor, this beautiful preserve offers incredible opportunities to observe birds throughout the year!
Whether you're searching for migrating warblers in spring, watching ospreys soar overhead in summer, scanning for hawks during fall migration, or spotting winter waterfowl along the shoreline, every visit brings something new! The combination of diverse habitats and landscapes makes World's End a favorite destination for birders, photographers, and nature lovers alike. Hopefully you get a chance to check it out!

Enjoy observing birds in the Middlesex Fells, a hidden gem of Malden! Please bring binoculars if you have them. Limited loaner binoculars will be available on a first come, first served basis. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and dressing for the weather conditions. Expect to hike 2-3 miles on dirt and rocky trails for this moderate to strenuous trail. In the event of heavy rain, the event will be canceled.
Parking: please park on the Eastbound side of Fellsway E and walk up to the trailhead
