The architecture opens completely toward the landscape, but what caught my attention while photographing it was how the interior never feels secondary. The materials, the proportions and the warm tones create a quiet atmosphere that naturally draws your eye toward the horizon.

As the sun started to drop, the light moved slowly through the rooms, reflecting on the wood surfaces and changing the mood of each space. Every bedroom, terrace and living area feels connected to the surroundings, making the transition between inside and outside almost disappear.

Some projects are memorable because of their scale. Others because of their details. This one stands out because of the way it frames the landscape and makes it part of the daily experience.

One of the things I remember most from this shoot is how easy it was to lose track of time just walking through the property. Every path, every terrace, every change in elevation reveals a different perspective of the architecture and the landscape around it.

As the afternoon progressed, the light began to skim across the stone, the wood and the vegetation, bringing out textures that might go unnoticed at first glance. The house doesn’t compete with its surroundings; it feels like an extension of them. The architecture, landscape and topography work together in a way that makes the entire experience feel natural and effortless.

Projects like this remind me that sometimes the most powerful images come from slowing down, observing, and letting the place reveal itself.

There’s something really special about photographing a house that feels completely tied to the land around it. Nothing here feels forced. The architecture sits naturally between the rocks, the trees, the slope, and the ocean in the background, almost like it had always belonged there.

What I enjoyed the most while shooting this project was how the light kept changing every corner throughout the afternoon. The shadows from the trees moving across the walls, the reflections on the water, the warmth of the wood against the dry landscape… every space felt calm and intentional without trying too hard.

You can tell there was an incredible amount of attention put into the landscape and how the house connects with its surroundings. Walking through it felt more like moving through nature than through a traditional home.

Morning light slowly fills the space, touching the travertine and revealing its texture in a very quiet way.
The warmth of the wood contrasts softly against the stone, while the green from the courtyard starts to come alive.

Everything feels calm.
The pool sits still, almost like a mirror, holding that moment of silence before the day fully begins.

In the afternoon, everything settles. The light comes in lower, warmer, and starts to pick up the texture of the wood in a different way. Shadows stretch, spaces feel deeper, and there’s a calm that takes over without trying.

You just move through it slowly, noticing how the light changes from one corner to another.

Afternoons here feel different. The light starts to drop and slowly finds its way through the wood, softening everything. It’s not about big moments, it’s more about those small changes — how shadows stretch, how textures start to stand out.

You end up just sitting there, looking around, letting the space settle. It feels calm, warm, and very real.

There’s something really nice about being here in the afternoon. The light comes in softly through the wood, creating these subtle patterns that keep changing as time passes. It feels warm, quiet, and very easy to be in.

Nothing feels too much. The materials, the proportions, the way the spaces connect… everything just sits well together. It’s the kind of place where you slow down without even thinking about it.

There was something about being in this house that stayed with me. The way the light comes in from the lake side, soft but constant, changing everything as the day moves. Some moments feel very open and bright, others more quiet and contained.

I found myself just watching how the light hit different surfaces, waiting for those small changes. It’s one of those places where you don’t need to do much — you just follow what’s already happening.

Casa Skylake explores the relationship between openness and privacy within a tropical setting.

The layout is designed to connect key spaces with the outdoors, allowing the lake and surrounding vegetation to become part of the daily experience. Light filters through the architecture, creating soft transitions between interior and exterior.

Inside, a curated selection of materials, textures, and art pieces adds depth without overwhelming the space — a balance between warmth, simplicity, and character.

Casa Skylake is conceived as a quiet dialogue between architecture, landscape, and interior life.

Set within a tropical context, the design opens itself to the lake, extending the living spaces outward and dissolving the boundary between inside and outside. Large openings, controlled geometries, and a restrained material palette allow light to move freely, shaping the atmosphere throughout the day.

Inside, the architecture becomes a canvas — where art, furniture, and materiality coexist in balance. Each space feels intentional yet effortless, defined not by excess, but by clarity and proportion.
