Becoming a Mother
When a child is born, a mother is also born. This is the most beautiful moment when a woman expands beyond herself.
It is a moment I love to capture, as it is a moment of great change.
At this moment the woman puts herself in the background, and shifts her focus to caring, nurturing, and protecting her new child.
What she has to remember is that in order to be the best mother to her child, she also has to care for herself.
This is a time of great change.
Her body will change, her priorities, her routines, and it is a time of great learning.
I always encourage new mothers to treat this delicate period with patience and respect. It is a perfect time to ask for help. Partners and relatives can take on tasks around the house in order for the woman to adapt to her new role as a mother, and focus her attention on taking care of her baby and making him/her feel safe in the new environment.

👶 Kad se rodi dete, rodi se i majka.
To je jedan od najlepših trenutaka koje imam priliku da fotografišem — trenutak kada žena prevaziđe samu sebe.
U tom trenutku, ona tiho stavlja sebe u drugi plan. Njena pažnja se u potpunosti usmerava na brigu, negu i zaštitu novog malog bića.
Ali evo šta nežno podsećam svaku mamu koju fotografišem: da bi bila najbolja majka svom detetu, mora da brine i o sebi.
Ovo je period velikih promena — menja se telo, prioriteti, rutine, pa i sam osećaj ko ste. Vreme je učenja, i zaslužuje strpljenje, a ne pritisak.
💛 Svaku novu mamu u Subotici savetujem isto: ne bojte se da tražite pomoć. Neka partner ili porodica preuzmu sitnice oko kuće, kako biste vi mogla da budete potpuno prisutni sa svojom bebom — da se oseća sigurno i voljeno u novom svetu.
Volela bih da vam pomognem da sačuvate uspomenu na ovaj trenutak. Fotografišem nove mame ovde u Subotici, hvatajući tihu, iskrenu lepotu ovog prvog poglavlja — da vam ostane zauvek.
