Autumn in Kyoto

I hiked the Lares Trek in 2015, a trail that takes you throughout
the Andes Mountains with a stop in Machu Pichu.

It was the hardest four days in the cold and in the high altitude of 4800m, but it also was a collection of the most stunning sceneries I have ever seen.

ペルーのラレストレックを縦走した時の写真です。

ただマチュピチュを観に行くのではつまらないなと思い、
アンデス山脈を33キロ縦走してから行くことにしたのですが、
標高4600-4800メートルを
３日間歩き続けるのは
かなりハードでした。

でもここで見た景色は
これまでに見たことのない風景ばかりで、
感動の嵐。

カメラを構えながら歩くのが
しんどくて、
枚数は少ないですが、
その分iphoneが活躍しました。

Today, I take you to Havana, Cuba.

One of the most picturesque city
I have ever been too,
especially for us photographers,
because you really get to see how people live.

It is a city with great people and great vibe.

Music and dancing are
so much part of their culture,
you see random people
just dancing on the streets and
they are all phenomenal dancers.

Cuba was one of the first countries
to send doctors to Italy
in hopes of fighting the COVID-19.

Cuba might not be economically rich
but definitely rich in their hearts.

今日はキューバのハバナを旅します。

街中が踊りと音楽と活気に溢れていて、
経済的に裕福ではないものの、
人生を楽しんでいるなあ、と
思えるひとばかり。

感染者が増えるイタリアに
医師団を送り込んだのも
キューバが最初の方でした。

生活が貧しくても、
心は豊かなのだと思います。

ひとの暮らし、を撮りたい写真家には、
最高の場所です。

Today, I'm taking you to the Salt Flats of Uyuni, Bolivia.

This was by far, the farthest place I have ever gone
and the bluest sky I have ever seen.

Or at least, I felt that way.

今日の旅はボリビアのウユニ塩湖です。

日本では湖面が鏡のようになった二月の雨季が
有名ですが、
この写真は春先の９月に撮影したものです。

これまでに行ったところの中でも、
気持ち的に「本当遠くへ来たなあ」と
思えた場所。

真っ青な空に、
どこまでも続く地平線、
民族衣装に身を包んだボリビアの女性たち、
全ての景色が刺激でした。

I picked Southern Africa, as the furthest place I could go,
six months after my husband left me.

It changed my world and it saved my life.

とにかく遠くに行きたい、
そんな思いで南部アフリカに行きました。

たった二週間の逃避行だったはずが、
結果的に1年10ヶ月という長旅になったのは、
アフリカで出会った景色、
触れた空気、聴こえてきた音、
すべての存在が、
人生のしんどい時期にいた私を
救ってくれたからです。

もっと元気になりたい、
そんな気持ちで私の旅は始まりました。
