Have you ever experienced a moment where excitement and fear collided at the same time?

Experiencing southern white rhinos at ground level was both thrilling and humbling. Watching these massive animals approach with pure curiosity is something I’ll never forget. In those moments, excitement and fear collide, making it one of the most exhilarating wildlife encounters I’ve ever had.

The golden wolf mama to be.The future of the pack rests with her🐺❤️

Do you ever get that immediate feeling of “this is a female” just by looking into certain animals’ eyes? Well this was one of those encounters..

This “blonde” female wolf is carrying the next generation of her pack. While wolves were once commonly described using terms like alpha female, scientists now recognize that most packs are simply family groups led by a breeding pair and their offspring.

Welcome to the pack!🐺❤️

This young wolf approached the pack with its tail tucked low, but within moments it was welcomed back. What followed was a beautiful display of trust, family, and friendship as the pack played together.

The bond between grey wolves is truly remarkable.

Witnessing this moment of acceptance and family connection in the wild as well as seeing the whole family interacting in such way was one of the most memorable experiences of my wildlife photography journey.

Nothing beats seeing wildlife just carry on like you’re not even there. This heron was only a few meters away, clearly aware of me but totally unbothered. It kept carefully preening its feathers, and every now and then it felt like it glanced over as if to say, “Not bad, right?” 😄
