After 14 days on the Camino, I’m finally back where it all started. The Asturian rain decided to catch up with me all at once today, but a little downpour wasn’t going to stop me from exploring.

I couldn’t leave Oviedo without finding this legendary lady sitting on her bench in the park! We both braved the wet weather for this quick selfie. If you want to see how a drenched but incredibly happy pilgrim looks after two weeks on the trail, just check out Vashek 📸✨

Přijel jsem do Veliko Tarnovo jen „se podívat“… a skončil jsem u naprosto epické světelné show 😳
Mluvím o pevnosti Tsarevets — přes den je to už tak dost působivé místo, ale v noci? Totální filmová scéna. Světla, hudba, historie… a já tam stojím, jako bych se omylem ocitl ve filmu.
Čistá náhoda. Správné místo ve správný čas.
Jednu chvíli si jen tak cestujete po Bulharsku a o chvíli později sledujete, jak se celá pevnost rozzáří, jako by se chystala do bitvy (nebo klidně odstartovat do vesmíru).
Přesně proto cestuju — nikdy nevíte, co vás čeká za rohem.

I was driving from Kazanlak to Veliko Tarnovo… minding my business… when I saw something that looked like a UFO landing site 😳🛸

Naturally, I did the only logical thing — I rushed there.

Turns out… not aliens (disappointing), but an absolutely insane monument that looks like it was designed by someone who definitely believed in aliens.

Welcome to one of the most bizarre, epic, and “what am I even looking at?” places in Bulgaria.

It’s massive, futuristic, a bit creepy, and completely unforgettable. Honestly, if aliens ever do land… this feels like their meeting point.

Travel lesson of the day: always follow the weird thing on the horizon.

I found UFO!

I came to Kazanlak, Bulgaria for roses… and somehow ended up talking about guitars 😅

Turns out this place is home to the legendary Kremona guitar factory — a brand with a seriously long tradition. And yeah… they literally make guitars for the Gipsy Kings. Casual.

So basically, I went looking for flowers and found world-class music history instead. Makes total sense.

There’s something about travel where you think you know what you’re going to see… and then boom — plot twist. Now I’m standing in Bulgaria imagining myself joining a flamenco band with a Kremona guitar (skills not included 🎸)

I went to Bulgaria… and somehow found a piece of Czechoslovakia 😅
In the hills of Sofia, I stumbled upon this unexpected place called the Bell Monument — 95 bells from all over the world, gifted by children as symbols of peace 🌍
And guess what… there it was. A bell from Czechoslovakia, just casually sitting there like it never left 🇨🇿
Of course I had to ring it. Slightly emotional? Maybe. Main character moment? Definitely.
It’s one of those places that’s a bit random, a bit meaningful, and somehow completely unforgettable.
