Last weekend I shot 20 Mothers’ Day Mini sessions - 20 mamas with the babes, some with their partners, some with their own mamas too. This session was my first of the morning, light, bright, airy and full of joy.

These sessions were only 15 minutes, which I think sometimes scares people off, but it’s plenty of time to grab your connection.

Loved this new little family and their sweet bond.

This was a bittersweet session for me - I first met this family three years ago, shortly after they arrived in Berlin. Two children and six sessions later, they are moving back to the US this summer. I don’t spend long with my clients, maybe I get to see them for a few hours a year, but it’s weirdly intimate to photograph families as they grow and change, especially if they keep coming back.

Thanks to all my returning clients who trust me session after session to capture memories for you. Getting to know your families is one of the greatest gifts of this work.
