Ātma Portrait Studio is a self-portrait photo studio, where you take control of the photo shooting process by taking your own photos, without a photographer looking at you through the lens and away from external expectations. Afterward, they are edited in bulk and sent to your email within 2 to 24 hours in black & white. Removing photographer's role during a photo session aims to remove the fear of judgement and create a space where you can authentically be yourself.

Once again Gü GuProd - Juliette and Ātma Portrait Studio put our efforts together, this time to recreate the most iconic desktop background in the world – as a real set you can walk into.

You can finally touch that grass, take free photos among familiar objects and a few other things you haven’t clicked on since 2003📎

It’s still a work in progress, we don’t know exactly how it will turn out, but I’m sure it’s going to be super fun!

Free entry, no registration. Bring your friends, bring your kids – it’s an open door day. Say hello, take photos, pick up a few gifts, and hang out at Matrëshka bar Matrëshka 1st Slavic Cocktail Bar Berlin - The place to be next door.

We are restarting after a little pause — and by popular demand, we are setting a new date for our Flower Collage Workshop!

For those who haven’t done it yet, the workshop lasts around 3.5–4 hours, with a maximum of 4 people.

It includes an individual 15-minute photo session for each participant. You will receive all the photos afterwards, but we will pick one together, and based on that photo, you will create a beautiful collage with dried flowers — a way to honor your body and create something beautiful to decorate your space with.

There are only 4 spots available, first come, first served.

I needed it, so I created this space. You need it too.

Very often people are really scared of being left alone with the camera because no one is there to tell them what to do, no one is saying where to turn, how to smile, where to put your hand.

Instead, YOU decide how to move, when to press the button and which version of yourself you want to explore.

This is exactly the point of a self-portrait photo session: it’s self-guided.
It’s not about following directions. It’s about discovering what happens when there aren’t any.

Be curious. Creativity begins when you decide to let go 🦋

I think self-employment and running a business are being heavily romanticized by people who’ve never actually done it. I used to be one of those people too.

And don’t get me wrong – there’s a lot to love about it. The freedom, the independence, building something that’s yours, it can be incredible.

But at the same time, the weight of it is intense. You’re constantly balancing freedom with survival anxiety. Your brain is rarely fully off. Other people depend on you, and you depend entirely on yourself. It becomes this weird ongoing calculation between enjoying your life and making sure nothing falls apart.

And I think learning how to balance those things properly is actually a very complicated skill. Some people figure it out after years. Some maybe never do.

I just wish people talked about running a business in a more realistic way. Not less positively – just more honestly.
