This is Jutta and her pug Mücke. Jutta was born in Berlin-Charlottenburg in the 1940s and went to America where she worked as a model. The stairs that lead to her box spring bed are for her pug Mücke.

I photographed Jutta for my series “after work”, a photo series about a more positive approach to age(ing) and retirement life.
