Even in the shadow of war, life remembers how to dance.

Lately I’ve been thinking about how easy it is to wait for life to finally feel “calm” before we allow ourselves to enjoy it.

But maybe that’s the point.

Maybe life isn’t something that starts when everything is perfect.

It’s the little moments we choose to hold onto, even when the world feels loud.

As part of my little series recreating iconic scenes from the classics I love, I had to make this one.

Growing up with Anne of Green Gables shaped so much of the way I see the world. It taught me to find magic in ordinary places, to dream about wildflower meadows and winding paths, and to believe that imagination can turn even the simplest landscape into something extraordinary.

And then there was Matthew ,quiet, kind, and endlessly supportive. His final scene still breaks my heart every single time.
