Ein tolles Projekt zeigt die Stadt Hannover aus der Perspektive aus der Sicht von 70 Wohnungslosen, die ihre Stadt selbst fotografiert haben:

Wohnungslose haben mit Einwegkameras Hannover fotografiert und zeigen damit ihren Blick auf die Stadt. Der faszinierende Perspektivwechsel "Mein Hannover" ist ab 21. November zu sehen.

In the city of Khorramabad in Lorestan, Iran, Shia muslims are mourning the martyrdom of Imam Hussain on the tenth day of Ashura unlike the rest of Iran.
In Khorammabad legend has it, that people have always had a strong bond to earth, a culture that existed a long time before Islam did. Rubbing yourself with mud was implemented in local tradition and survived the rule of Islam.
With the break of dawn, people come out to the streets to cover themselves in mud, stand together near big bonfires to let it dry and start the mourning collectively by beating their chests or flagellating themselves.
Considering that Ashura is mostly about mourning and supposed to be a sad day, I have rarely seen so many joyful faces before. Many families from all over Iran come to Khorramabad to witness the festivities and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Auf der Sinai Halbinsel in sind 18 Polizisten bei einem Angriff des umgekommen:

IS-Terroristen haben auf der ägyptischen Sinai-Halbinsel einen Polizeikonvoi überfallen und mindestens 18 Polizisten getötet. Es ist der folgenreichste Angriff der vergangenen zwei Jahre in Ägypten.

Journalist Christopher Allen died while covering the conflict in South Sudan. He was only 25 years old. Rest in peace.

We are deeply saddened about the loss of our friend and colleague Christopher Allen reportedly killed in crossfire in South Sudan while covering the ongoing fighting in the country. Chris was a dedicated freelance writer and photojournalist driven by his love for people and history and a strong belief in the importance of honest thorough reporting. His desire to share the details of under-reported conflicts and the stories of the people he covered took him to dark corners of the earth regardless of the trending news cycle.
We were extremely grateful to have Chris as a part of The War Zone Freelance Project sharing his work and experiences with both our audience and the group internally and will continue to do so. His energy and independent personality was an inspiration to our whole team and he will be greatly missed by all of us. The death of Christopher Allen is a loss for the freelance community and our thoughts are with his family and loved ones through this terrible time.

In fünf Jahren hat sich die Situation der über eine Million syrischen Flüchtlinge in nicht wirklich verbessert. Die libanesische Innenpolitik beginnt im Gegenteil jetzt offen damit, Rückführungen ins Auge zu fassen.
