Thank you and a new chapter🔆

Hey everyone🤓

I just want to say a huge thank you to all of you who supported me and trusted me with your amazing dogs during my time as Spitz Dog Photography. It has been such a joy to capture so many special moments and see the love between you and your furry friends.

Now I’m excited to share that I am closing this chapter and starting something new called Dog Home Alone. I will be helping dogs and their humans with things like separation anxiety and noise fears so that dogs can feel calm and happy even when you are not around.

Thank you again for being part of this journey with me. I can’t wait to keep making a difference for dogs and their families in this new way.

I'm back! Well, not really 😅
Last year was a challenge, to say the least. I'm still not sure if I want to share everything that happened and be present online like I used to. I think there is a big part of me that now thinks my life is precious enough to be totally open for anyone to see it. Also, I am trying to be more mindful about my time, so in the end there is no time left for social media.
What I can say is that I am finally moving on from grief and starting to look forward to this new year. I hope that I can at least edit more photos of Wurst and share them with you here.
Photography will still have a special place in my heart, but not the main one: but of course, my life will still be about dogs. This year I will finally be able to open my dog training business focused on separation anxiety and I am really excited about it.

Happy 9 year birthday, Wurst 😭🩷🥰

My little boy, how lucky we are to have you in our lives. I love you to the moon and back and I just hope that you will stay with us still many more years.
My beautiful boy, who is always ready for walkies, agility, training, and treats (of course). It's incredible to remember how our lives have changed for the better. You have changed me for the better, sassy boy.
I am sure there would be no life in Germany, agility, and a career change if it weren't for you.
Stay just the way you are: a happy boy who is always trying to find a way to get what he wants, with a sense of humor that makes us laugh every day. We love you.

I think it's time to introduce myself again 😅

This is me, Deise (is is pronounced just like Daisy) and my boy Wurst. We are Brazilian expats living in Köln for 2 years (wow, time does fly).
We decided to move to Germany after realizing that we needed to live in a place where we felt more safe and with more quality of life (well, the whole story is a lot more sad and complicated than that, but let's summarize it this way 🤤).
We came to Germany in 2019 with Wurst and we just fell in love by the way Germans live their live: in a simple way, practicing sports, hiking with (and without) their dogs and, of course, drinking beer.
Still to this day, Burg Eltz is my favorite castle in the whole world and I can call myself lucky enough to live not too far from it. We were there in 2019 and we went back again, because I could go there foverer.
Although I have a PhD in literature, dogs are my source of happiness and fulfillment and that is why I started doing dog photography. But, I realized that I am much more than that and I still missed the "nerdy" side of my previous academic life.
And that is why I decided that I wanted to work with dogs who struggle with separation anxiety. After experiencing this myself with Wurst, I feel that I can help those dogs and guardians to have a happier life. So now, I'm doing everything I can to have enough certification and knowledge to be able to open my new business next year.
Photography will always be my passion, but I feel that I need more than this to be trully happy. So here I am, reinventing myself, again, for who know how many times it takes....we have just one life to live!

There's so much beauty in watching the seasons go by as if some parts of us die for others to be born. The winter is finally over and I'm so glad to see the sun again. There have been so many changes this year and there's still so much more to come.
I have submitted my last written assessment for my Canine Behavior Diploma and I feel so relieved! Now I can change focus and study German again 😅
So here is one of my favorite photos of my forever muse, the one that made it all possible, my soul dog Wurst. 💗

Kirschbäume

Als ich noch in Brasilien war, habe ich gesehen, dass es in Köln einen Platz voller Kirschbäume gibt, und ich war so aufgeregt, sie zu besuchen!

Sie sind meine Lieblingsbäume und es ist schon wieder Zeit, sie zu besuchen....

Let it snow!

I'm sorry I haven't been so active lately, but with so many things happening I felt that I needed a break from social media. The constant need to post, and interact is too overwhelming when you have so many more important things to do. Can anyone relate to that?😅

We've been in Germany for almost 2 years already and although we have already accomplished a lot, there's still so much to do. This year will an important year for us as a family and me personally, as I am almost finishing my course to become a dog trainer. I still have to take some practical hours that will make me have to be even busier, but hey, that is what moving to another country and changing careers is all about, right?

It finally snowed and we could enjoy a bit with Wurst. It makes my heart so happy to see him enjoying the snow as a natural. Genes don't lie, who said it was hips doesn't know anything at all. 🤡

I will try as much as I can to post more photos of Wurst and even photograph him more (you guys have no idea how many unedited photos of him I have). But one day at a time, photography for me is inspiration and I cannot feel inspired to edit at all if my mind is all over the place.

So I hope you guys have an awesome 2024 full of happiness for you and your fluffy ones. Enjoy the present, have fun!🥰
